I'm thinking someone should publish a list of buyers and holders to support.  What do you think, we could try to get people to support the buyers and holders as that is who we want to retain.

Me and @umulius are selling off stuff we dont need and buying steem for it. We just sold a few bottles of vodka we got as gifts, we had no use for them as we both dont really drink at all. With the profits we just bought ourselves 100+ steem. Tomorrow I will go take photos of a bicycle I own and list it for sale, as well as some snowboard clothing. Hoping to score around 1000 steem for those 😁✌

Steem is going to be GREAT! I find the community blossoms even more in these times. They're not horrible times - they're just times. It gives us a moment to remember why we're here. 

I would totally be buying more steem through coinbase if I could.  I just placed an order for LTC today, as it's a great time to be buying crypto.

Anyone wanna trade me steem for my Litecoin? :P

In all seriousness, though.  You're exactly right.  Steemit has a community that has more than weathered the storm.  Most other coins would not fare nearly as well, and it just goes to show how stable Steem can be, even in a volatile environment.  We're gonna keep making posts, we're gonna keep talking, commenting, and growing.  And (hopefully) more people join us along the way!

When I started on Steem it was like $3-4 dollars and I looked at some of the popular accounts and I was like how the hell did they get that much stake it’s going to take me forever to get there but now that prices are so low I can see how it happens with buy in and reward payouts I’m getting crazy stake in return now compared to what I got when I started! I can’t wait to hit 5k so I’m pretty chilled on the prices

I joined steemit just after that initial $4 mark and watched it plummet to the $0.07 spot - I think it got 6 cents, actually. I bought some steem around $0.18 at that time, but I wish I had bought so much more. I have already added about 600 steem since it's gone under $0.80 and I'll be adding more as I can afford it. I won't be passing up this opportunity a second time around. If anyone doesn't see this as an opportunity now, they will realize it was an opportunity later when the price goes back up.

I got more and more skeptical about steemit since summer. This platform has a lot of issues. And the slow progress makes it pretty easy for competitors to beat steemit. This is why I powered down all of stake and put it in other projects.

However, I bought 125 shares of SBI. I thought this is a very reasonable way to invest in steemit. If steemit gets destroyed I lost a bit of money, if it recovers I have a decent payout for all of my posts in the future. Even in the bull market the SBI shares make me a bit of money.

If things go bad it is all about damage reduction and I think buying SBI shares is a really good trade off between investing into steemit and not risking too much money.

You make a good point in your video, though. What is the market? The ultimate argument for a product is based on popularity. If steemit can keep a solid community there is a good chance that STEEM is going to do well in the future and might climb back to the top 20-30 cryptos.

I think you need to add few more discord channels ...

I have seen the same encouragement from the community as many have continue to but #STEEM and engage more.  This together with the recent conversations and engagement in Steem Fest 3 was what lead for me to continue to buy.  I look forward to seeing many more minnow and dolphins here as I myself work on a plan to get towards Orca!  Yes, I really want it and think it can happen but I know I don't have much time left to achieve it at these prices!

You've asked us here to let you know what we are doing.  I wrote a post about that this morning.  I am continuing to invest and power up. Quick question for you.  This morning I wrote about the recent actions of the SEC.  As you are now one of our Witnesses, do you happen to know what, if any, impact this has on our Steem blockchain?  Specifically, are they under any pressure from the SEC to register as a security?

On a more serious note, true believers need to understand that this is probably the best time to post,  A LOT.
Maybe their $ earnings will be technically low. But what a lot of people overlook, is that usually when the rewards are low (in $) lots of STEEM is powered up, but not used. So rewards, if calculated in STEEM should be exceptionally high right now, and if you plan to HODL, the same content will get you more SP now, than when the bear market is over.

Does it matter what the speculative price is if this platform  delivers a product that no other does as well?   The question should  not be about today’s price  but tomorrow’s  market share.   The quality of content on Steemconnect really should be  the focus and it needs some serious  work.   The monetization method does not reward quality over quantity and reputation.   It needs so tweaking  IMHO. 

meno you are a part of that core that holds Steem together, as I can see, proving that it's the people activity that is creating and building Steem. It will be here as long as there are great community leaders like you. 

Keep in mind, this new act of human departure(the decentralized blockchain) is people driven. We just need to see the power of our self-worth, content, upvotes and valuable comments.  : ) 

And there should be no shame in stating the truth and asking, if someone viewed or read it, share an upvote, it will come back to that person through Karmic kindness. It's that easy to demonstrate proof of brain. here spamming doesn't work just real effort. The lazy will not last. The more Steem the realer it gets.

@meno you are educating plankton(I think that's what I am, at the bottom level) like myself and inspiring hope in a new way of doing things. We're still at ground zero. Adversity, through fluctuating numbers and noise are only tempting our hearts to see how much we really want this. Nothing can stop us now. A solid blockchain is already here. In beta, we are testing it and our faith. Only the true believers will determine how strong Steem become in the market. Two sides, inverters and content producers are the drivers of Steem.
