Michael Heath is a friend and Christian brother who USED TO BE the head of Maine's most important Christian organization--The Christian Civic League of Maine. That is until it was undermined by sodomite sympathizers within the churches in Maine who forced his removal about 10 year ago now. Since then, Maine, like the rest of the nation, has been on a downward spiral of continued coddling of evil, and the results of that are everywhere, from the push to normalize pedophilia, bestiality, polygamous marriages, etc., to other backpedaling betrayals of Christian principles in matters of the family, the protection of innocent life, mandatory vaccination, etc.

Mike and his wife Paulie remain avid and active Christian Warriors, and their ministry "Helping Hands" deserves the support of all people who care about life, family, and social issues. Generation Rejection

Popes, Presidents, Millenials, Gen Xrs are bound together by rejection … of Jesus Christ.  Even though two thousand years have passed, and the verse above is personal counsel to His followers who would witness his crucifixion and Nero’s persecution, it is as true today as it was then.

What precedes this prediction of suffering by Jesus Christ are verses answering a question from the Jewish Pharisees.  They wanted to know when the Kingdom of God was to come.  The answer Jesus Christ gave was no more satisfying then than it is today.  He said, “The coming of the Kingdom of God does not admit of observation.”  In other words, Jesus said no man knows the hour.  You won’t be able to figure it out.

Jesus goes on to predict, “They will say to you, ‘Look, it is there!' or, “Look, it is here!’  Make no move;  do not set off in pursuit.”

Enormous religious resources have been invested during my lifetime in REALLY BELIEVING the people screaming “Look, it is there!” and “Look, it is here!”  When I was younger I was moved by the argument that the modern state of Israel’s establishment in 1948 was miraculous, biblical and spiritual.  I don’t believe that anymore.  Instead the century long Jewish political campaign to establish that state probably contributed to the gruesome mechanized total blood-letting of two world wars.

I remember being told Jesus would return within a generation of Israel’s founding.  Then there were all the dates of his return that circulated among American evangelicals.  All that has mercifully stopped. 

The world is waking up from this nightmare.

After advising his followers not to set off in pursuit of these false prophets He concludes, “for as the lightning flashing from one part of heaven lights up the other, so will be the Son of man when his Day comes.”  Jesus won’t return in darkness.  Everything will light up.  We won’t see it coming.  We will all know He’s here.

We do know that before that happens Jesus promised, “But first he is destined to suffer grievously and be rejected by this generation.”  He was crucified by that generation.  He is rejected by ours.  It might be more accurate to say that He is perverted by our generation.

Jesus said little about gender and sexuality while He walked the earth.  Christianity, taking her cues from the Bible and what Jesus did say about all things, puts family life at the heart of everything.  Families are built on the sacrament of marriage in the Church.  Marriage and parenting require dad and mom.  It is so obvious how gender fits into this paradigm that it goes without saying.  It is basic.  Simple.

But not in the cultural backwash of Israel first.  No.  In this new Jewish world we’ve created everyone get’s to choose their gender … like anyone EVER wanted that.  Mayor Pete can aspire to be President of the world’s remaining superpower because he’s the “wife.”  A father can be drained of his last penny paying lawyers to stop a Jezebel from torturing and emasculating his son.

Look, it is there!  Look, it is here!

There are a couple things that guarantee censorship on the internet these days.  At the top of the list in the “land of the free and the home of the brave” is criticizing Jews.  Next comes homosexuals.  The rest is just misdirection.

You don’t have to threaten anybody’s life or even promise any kind of violence to be labeled a “hater.”  Nope.  All you have to do is what I’m doing here … think out loud in a critical way about Jews or homosexuals.  And magically … you’re a hater.  You get to lose your job after they’ve attempted more direct means of brainwashing — diversity training.  Hey, at least they give you “fair” warning.

Jesus Christ is the suffering servant.  He gave, and He gives, it all for the salvation of those who choose to follow Him.  He suffered and died.  At the heart of Christianity is a capacity for suffering, and quality in suffering, that no other religious or cultural system can inspire.  Christianity is common sense.  It simply works.

And it is passed on generation to generation by men and women who choose to suffer and die for Him.  They choose to take up their CROSS and follow Him.

Barely one century after Christ was crucified Tertullian observed that the blood of the martyrs is the seed of the Church.  He wasn’t talking about political or career martyrs.  Giving up your job, or suffering humiliation because of your political views, is nothing.  Christianity is the capacity to suffer torture and death for Jesus Christ and His good news.

The gates of hell won’t prevail against that.  They cannot.
