## Blogcast tonight Saturday 16th, 10pm AESST / 11am UTC

I’m in that awful limbo space of wanting desperately to write something.

And yet, the words don’t come.

I love the act of writing. I find it therapeutic, even if I’m writing something that requires research, and referencing, and so on. I especially love the groove I get into when I’m typing, I think it’s something about the hypnotic sound of keys tapping, but also the sensation in my fingertips as I am on a roll and the words simply flow through my fingers and into the keyboard.

This happens from time to time. It’s when I don’t have the mental or emotional space to create. Work is going well at the moment, I’m putting in lots of hours, which is great! Which means the rest of my time is devoted to either resting, or my family. Any remaining writing time each day usually is spent throwing together my thoughts on the **I Ching**.

But even then, I had 5 days off from work, where I had plenty of time to sit and write; but I just couldn’t. There was simply no creative juice whatsoever. I know better than to force it, so I let it be.

Another thing however is that in many ways, there really is nothing left for me to say. I just spent a few minutes scrolling through my feed on that *other* platform, and found myself shaking my head and burying my face in my hands.

When people say — and publish — anything that reflections the sheer stupidity of society, what is there that one *can* say?

So tonight I’m going to do what I’m calling a **blogcast**... my blog is going to be a live stream on Vimm which will include music (of course).

I’ll be chatting about my the thoughts that have been swirling in my head the last couple of days, about writing, creating space for creativity, and a critique of the current state of social media.

I know the feeling. After writing lots of posts in December and during the Holidays, I was just spent for a while. Not that I didn't have things to write about... I'll never run out of things to write about... But I was just tired. Been getting back into it more recently...

Don't worry, it'll come. In the meantime, use a voice-recording app so you can ramble at your phone and come back to it later. :)
