Norway government is happy to see this large investment as it will create new jobs for the citizens of Norway. </p> <p>The datacenter is being set up in the town of Mo I Rana in Northern Norway. Approximately 274 million NOK (around 35 million USD) is being introduced by Bitfury to open the mining datacenter. It is expected that the company will generate about 30 jobs for local residents at the initial stage. </p> <p>During the welcome of Bitfury, Torbjørn Røe Isaksen, Minister of Trade and Industry in Norway, said:</p> <p><blockquote>“I am delighted that the Bitfury Group has chosen to establish their new data center in Norway and Mo I Rana…. This represents a major economic opportunity for Norwegian businesses. The datacenter industry is growing fast and provides Norway with opportunities of economic growth and new jobs.” </blockquote></p> <p>According to Bitfury, the datacenter will consume power lower than a power usage effectiveness of 1.05. On the other hand, Norway government is showing positive attitude toward crypto firms.
