#  Ezr 3:10  And when the builders laid the foundation of the temple of the LORD, they set the priests in their apparel with trumpets, and the Levites the sons of Asaph with cymbals, to praise the LORD, after the ordinance of David king of Israel.
Ezr 3:11  And they sang together by course in praising and giving thanks unto the LORD; because he is good, for his mercy endureth for ever toward Israel. And all the people shouted with a great shout, when they praised the LORD, because the foundation of the house of the LORD was laid.
Ezr 3:12  But many of the priests and Levites and chief of the fathers, who were ancient men, that had seen the first house, when the foundation of this house was laid before their eyes, wept with a loud voice; and many shouted aloud for joy:
Ezr 3:13  So that the people could not discern the noise of the shout of joy from the noise of the weeping of the people: for the people shouted with a loud shout, and the noise was heard afar off.

*This is quite the scene where the foundation of the temple was finished and many who had never seen Solomon’s Temple we joyful, but some of the older folk we weeping as this temple was not with the same splendor as the one they remembered. Zerubbabel and the people rebuilt the temple after it was destroyed and this temple during the days Jesus walked the earth was known by some as Herod’s Temple. 500 years after it was built the words of Haggai the prophet was fulfilled as it was this temple that Jesus Himself walked in.*

Hag 2:9  The glory of this latter house shall be greater than of the former, saith the LORD of hosts: and in this place will I give peace, saith the LORD of hosts.

## Jesus 

*This new Temple may not have had the luster of Solomon’s temple, but the exact representation of the Glory of God, Jesus Himself. The Messiah, Anointed One, the Ancient of Days, the Darling of Heaven, the Creator of all things visible or invisible would walk in this temple. Jesus was everything that the temple represents. A place to atone for sin and a place to meet God. The brazen Altar, the Shewbread, the Golden Lampstand, the Golden Laver, the Holy Place, the Most Holy Place and the Ark of the Covenant all representing Jesus.*

All physical types with spiritual significance pointing to the One Temple that would be destroyed but rebuilt three days later.

Joh 2:19  Jesus answered and said unto them, Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up.
Joh 2:20  Then said the Jews, Forty and six years was this temple in building, and wilt thou rear it up in three days?
Joh 2:21  But he spake of the temple of his body.
