## I've been cruising around Steemit for a couple months now getting my feet under me. 
*Figuring things out, learning to write, showing off some cool pics. You know, the usual.*

### I was browsing some posts this afternoon when I decided to check my stats. 
What're my upcoming payouts, who's been doing stuff on my posts, what my power currently was, lots of things. It hit me...I use the same sites quite a bit because they're so useful. But, the only reason I knew about them was because of a post.

**So I figured I'd write a quick post about the ones I use, and hopefully they'll connect with people who don't know about them yet :)**

I can't remember where I found this one. I'm sure I read about it when I was a brand new minnow browsing all the, 'new to Steemit,' posts that are constantly being cycled. I think a lot of us write about what we learn as we go. It's a really good way to really stick it in our head and help the people we know are coming behind. Steem Supply is a great way to get a great amount of information when you're new. 

The way it displays the upcoming payouts for the next seven days, super easy to see.

Click on a specific post and you can see the details of who voted how much, as well as the breakdown of the payout. How much Steem, how much SBD, where and when it was posted.

I'm a huge fan of the insights @dragosroua puts together, as well as how they're presented. Simple, to the point.

You can also find out quick what your vote percentage is at and what it's currently worth. Very useful to make sure **you don't go below 80%.**

And all you have to do is type your account name in the box.

## This one I found through my family at @thealliance.
It was in the Discord channel one night as part of a conversation about making sure to stop by other members pages. Like a good family should, hehe. I remember going, 'wow' as soon as it loaded. This place is a wealth of super useful information. 

***This site is a little...no, a lot more in-depth.*** Where Steem Supply mainly focuses on payouts, My Steem Friends is that and everything else you could ever want to know. Not for beginners because you'll get lost in all the information. It provides both a wide angle and macro focus lens on everything.

You start on the main page, entering your account name in the box. You're about to get a little confused, but just follow along. Up front, I need to admit that a bunch of this stuff is still confusing to me. But knowing it's there and where to find it is something I wanted to share.

Clicking on the **CONTRIBUTORS** button after entering your name presents you with this screen. Here you can see which accounts have voted how much of the rewards pool to you and how many times they've voted on your content.

Click on the highlighted name and it will take you to the users Steemit page. Click on the dollar amount and it will take you to their My Steemit Friends contributor page and you'll see who upvotes them. Click on the number of articles and it will bring you another screen chalked full of information. It's like a rabbit hole of data to follow down and down.

At the time of this post when I clicked on any of the top buttons it brought me back to the starting screen where I could make another selection.

Entering my name and clicking on the **UPVOTE STATS** brought up this list of information. Who's upvoted you, and who have you upvoted. A good way to see if you're being a good community member by giving back to those who give to you.

Clicking on a name brings up yet more options for information. You can get to their Steemit profile page, do a My Steemit Friends lookup as them, or see conversation via comments. That third option I gave a try, but couldn't get it to work right. I'm sure it's good for seeing how much you've been chatting with certain people and if anyone's voting on comments.

Going back to the main page, entering my username, and clicking on **RANKINGS** brings up another table of options. If you're curious about where you stand in the rankings against other Steemit users, this is the place to find out. Basically, think of leaderboards.

After entering an account name and clicking on the **VOTE HISTORY** you can see what you voted on, when, what percentage you voted at as well as the author and what post. On a lot of them you'll see the option to switch the name and dates out. If you're researching multiple people, this option makes it easy to do. Clicking on the highlighted post link takes you to the post.

It looks like the **CALCULATOR** brings you back to this screen where you can manually enter in another users name to see how much they upvoted you over the specified period of time. It's the same as when you click on the number of articles in the **CONTRIBUTORS** tab. Just a different way to get there.

To sum My Steemit Friends up...it's a great site for a lot of in-depth information. The organization structure is a bit confusing, but, wow, the information. If you've got a handle on the basics from Steem Supply, this is a great place to get a lot of extra oomph. A need to know for those new to Steemit.

## Bots, and vote bidding...the never-ending debate.
I'm not going to get into any of that. But, I want to show people where a really useful site for utilizing the voting services are. Once again, can't remember who wrote the post where I found the link. 

### Bidding for votes...I won't get into the how, when, why, etc..
Because it's a really in-depth topic. And there are currently wars going on here about the usage. So, be warned before using them. Read as many posts as you can and learn to use this service wisely...but not abuse.

## Hopefully this post will have given you a new tool for helping you here on Steemit.
There's so much about this platform it's easy to get overwhelmed and either give up, or find a simple rut to get into. This place is deep and wide with such an amazing potential. The more I learn about it and how to use it, the better I like it.
