You have been on this search for a while now, it has taken you something that almost feels like a thousand years; truth be told when you look back sometimes it feels like you have lived seven lives. Truth be told, sometimes you stand behind a mighty ocean but the waves that blows within you seems even more raging. Truth be told, you have shut yourself indoor, stared at your phone with disgust, everything the paintings, the linens, the dishes all held ugly memories with them, and even if they were pleasant ones, for some reasons you would just stick with the grotesque. It was an easy thing to do, and so you would shut your eyes so deep till it hurts but somehow everything you ran away from find it's way back, sneaking in through your fragile head, the situation would be very familiar, so as usual you would run under covers, placing plenty bulk of the clothing around your head, somehow you managed to block it but it sneaks in again, you try to run away from whatever so you; Zoom right.... Zoom left... Silence.... Screams.... Silence..... You finally know the last passage...... Your mind! You dim your eyes more, trying to practice how to cause your mind to be blind, you have failed so many times, maybe you would always fail but you would always try.... "Anna, You can do it" You sighed....  That was when your phone vibrated! Your heart skipped, somehow you wished it would be eduardo but it was just 6am in the morning, why would he call you by this time? Most times he had ended your calls all the times you had called early in the morning, warning you not so call at such hours as he hated his sleep to be disturbed.... You heard his voice play in your head "Hey, Anna! Don't call me this early again" You were about wondering if this could be love when you suddenly remembered you should pick his call. You picked. Even though you had just finished weeping all because of him, even though you were close to loosing your voice and there was no joy at all in you, you still picked and forced out a girly laugh... "How are you" He said "Fine" You said and giggled a little. "Woke up early, have to be in a meeting by 8 today" He told you. Your heart skipped, why was he suddenly telling you about his day? "Okay...." You replied... You searched for something to say but nothing came, so you just giggled. "I would call you when I get to work" He said but somehow you were scared it would turn out just like all the times he had promised to call but didn't. You knew that was a bye, suddenly, you remebered you had so much to say, you wanted to tell him you missed me, maybe if there was more time you would have loved to tell him you also wanted to hear something better yesterday when you told him you told him you couldnt stop thinking about him, you would have loved to hear something sweet rather than "That's nice" "Okay bye bye " He said. "Bye" You replied, accompanying it with a hearty laughter... The call was done but for some reasons you felt like weeping, somehow you were hungry for love, how come you thirsted for him so much when you had just heard his voice? How come you felt so empty and unfulfilled despite how much you waited all night so you could be able to call him. Anyway, right now, you didn't want anything to ruin your happiness. Yesternight, you had thought maybe you were overthinking things and you had decided to just let things be but now, you reached for your phone where you had dumped it, you scrolled to your favourite app; Google and typed "How", there was no need to continue typing, google brought out your usual question; " How do I know if he truly loves me" You were about reading when you discarded the idea, you decided to send him a text... "Baby, didn't want to say this but I feel like a princess cos u called me so early this morning. I appreciate it so much. Thank you. Miss me and I love you honey" You sent the message without holding back. Fifteen minutes passed, 20 minutes, there was no response, you waited an hour more then you went back to the message, you read again and you thought there was nothing to reply, you hadn't asked any question. Anyway, he had promised to call on getting to work. It was almost 8. You waited for his call, his reply to your text but nothing came. This situation was very familiar but every time it played out it was a fresh feeling of pain You waited... A tired tear rolled out... Then finally you slept off... It was the sound of Tara and her friends returning from class that woke you up. You had barely opened your eyes when you reached quickly for your phone scared that you might have missed his call. "oh my! 3.37pm" You sighed. Well, there was no missed call, no text, no nothing... Just then your phone rang... But it was sandy, your bestie. "Hey pinky" Sandy giggled. "Sandy" you said not trying to hide your frustration. "Pinky! Kelvin is throwing a birthday party for me at his place tonight, you coming right"? She giggled. " Ehrmmm" you responded. "Hey, Pinky! Stop being a lazy baby. I am sure you are weeping your eyes off there in your hostel! You coming right? Kelvin and I will come pick you up soon, are you coming" "Maybe" "And how is your crazy doctor eduardo doing?" Sandy said, definitely not expecting a response from you. "Pinky, there would be so many guys..... Besides, someone can't wait to see you. I think he is in love with you, he is dying to meet you.... Hey! Dress dashing! we coming to pick you in a bit.... He is coming with us." Sandy said, then she hung up.
