Knowing Yourself (An Original Poem)

## Knowing Yourself

Our world only shows the
sight within the eyes.
The eyes will close at
vengeance, they eye will
open at jubilant times.
the heart will suffocate
and invade the mind. The
story will teach you about
mankind.

To need is not to want. To
want is not to need.
A wish will only come
true if it is something that
you love. It will
not happen if it is a selfish
wish and just for yourself.

To know what I am doing
is right will take time. I
will need to choose if it is
a path I want to continue
to walk on for the rest of
my life, or to follow a
different one into another
world. I have not chosen
what to devote my life
to or what I am meant
to do. For now I will
enjoy what I have and
what now is.

I will not get caught in a
web of fears, I will not get
caught in anything. I will
not respect bad doing. I
will not know if wrong is
right, though sometimes
wrong isn't right, and
right is wrong.

I will stand by my friend
and my family's side, I will
not leave them for
whatever I do. They will
not leave me. They will
believe in me with the
choices I make, they will
tell me if I make the
wrong choice. I will not
leave my friends will
when they are in need,
even if it is for my own
good. I will not do that
for sure, because I am
not that kind of person.

*To know what is right,*
*to know what is wrong.*
*To know that I'm willing*
*to keep looking for long.*
