Sepia Saturday - A night walk in London

Hello, lovely steemians!

For this week's Sepia Saturday, a challenge hosted by @old-guy-photos, I decided to share with you some of my pictures that I took last December in London. I landed in the evening in Gatwick Airport and my next flight was departing next morning from Stansted.

So I decided to take the train to the London Bridge Station and take a nice walk through the city to the St. Pancras International, from where I took another train to the airport. I know that there is a direct train connection between Gatwick and Stansted, but I didn't want to waste the opportunity to actually visit London, even if for a while.

This first photo is taken from the Bankside between London Bridge and Millenium Bridge (Bankside ferry terminal in the front, St. Paul's Cathedral in the background).

Then I crossed the Millenium Bridge:

It was a rainy night, but much warmer than I am used to in December. The group of tourist in front of me was also enjoying the walk and they stopped to admire the beauty of St. Paul's Cathedral. I moved forward.

My last photos are from Holborn Viaduct, a beautiful road bridge from the second half of 19th century.

London is a wonderful city to visit, anytime of the year and as you can see, even (almost) any time of the day. If you've ever been to London, do you have a favourite spot there?

Thank you for your support! 

At first I wanted to wait for the group of tourists to leave the frame, so I can get the photo of cathedral, but then I decided to take an advantage of their presence, instead. They bring life to the picture (also, I didn't want to just stand there at night in the rain...)
