Good Evening!

As the title suggests, this is my first post to Steemit! First off, I am really looking forward to getting to know some of you. I've gotten pretty sick of other forms of social media and the actual lack of 'socialness' on them, so I am expecting big things from you all ;)!

So a little bit about myself: I'm a young, modern man (the name checks out!). I've never really cared much for the stereotypes of being male; I have a lot of feelings and thoughts and I enjoy to embrace them! I enjoy writing, I play the guitar, so a lot of what I end up writing tends to be songs, poems, or generally feeling-orientated.

 I'm going through some pretty confusing times at the moment, although I guess that's pretty much part and parcel of youth. I'm sure my problems are pretty similar to any guy's my age. Either way, I've never been one to have a huge amount of friends, I'm much more a close-knit, small group kinda guy.  Consequently, I have about 2, maybe 3 people that I ever feel like I can open up to about important things. One of whom, recently suggested keeping a diary.

So my aim here is to use Steemit as a platform for my diary. I know a lot of young people, guys especially, feel like that can't open up or talk about emotions, problems or anything that might portray them as weak. I really hope that through my posts I personally can gain some clarity on my own life, but also that I can help others!

Anyway, this has rambled on for a little now, so I'm going to wrap it up. I'm anticipating my first diary entry to be published early next week (hopefully around Monday evening).
