I love the idea of a tiny home. Just shows how successful marketing is around) full of crap that we believe is essential. I'm a bit OCD with being tidy too, anytime i need to study or focus or meditate i can't until i have tidy'd up- not sure if that's the correct spelling! I feel like my mind is clearer is my space is!

I love your little cabin home. Love it. Thanks for sharing the book with us and the tips of getting organized in the smaller spaces since I also have a pretty small house and I couldn't be happier since I also lived in a huge beautiful home, but I love my small space.

From a 4th generation, from both sides, packrat: Getting rid of anything family is REALLY hard for me. And then there are books.... :)) But we will be building an addition, single story, next year and I expect the moving around of stuff will lend to getting rid of some of it. But one benefit I've had from the Lyme is I keep things in their place ALWAYS! I simply do not have the energy to look for things.

Uh oh 4 generations deep... There is indeed usefulness is keeping stuff around, but it can only go so far. I find building supplies to be the most useful things to keep, but then again they pile up fast! What you've learned is valuable, now if I could only do that all that time. Looking for stuff wastes time and frustrates me. That's one major drawback to starting from scratch on the homestead is having to MAKE places for everything. All the best with the shuffling and moving and addition. I'm sure you'll find plenty to liberate yourself from... I know that at books can be the hardest hehe.

Having what I need at hand is sort of reinforcing of the packrattishness. :)) When I start a project or need to repair something, I much prefer being able to reach for whatever and finish. But as you say, having so much stuff can be draining.... At least I know where most of mine is due to long standing Lyme issues... And having a 105' x 30' barn doesn't help, when it comes to keeping stuff...
