Tasting different types of food from other countries is not that bad. It's just part of us as a human being who wants to explore that there is food we may love. Although, having the type of food we used to have while we were growing up is much more pleasing. We can tell right away that it is delicious or there will be more or we are searching for that kind of taste that reminds us of before. Moreover, the ways of cooking, the spices and other things about the food will be easier for us to understand, it's not new after all in terms of taste.&nbsp;

I felt like I wanted to eat food that could fill up my hunger. Not the type of classy food which is sweeter or has a different taste. I wanted food where I felt like eating in my home, that type of food where I used to eat with my family, friends, and even lovers. Yes, homemade food is what I wanted during that day I was on a journey and ended up so hungry.&nbsp;

Just by looking at their menu above the counter, I could tell what they were serving. Food that I've been eating already because they were all Filipino food cuisine. Adobo, sinigang, sisig, and many more were types of food that we usually cook in our home. For sure it's not the same because the one who cooked was different and of course spices will be added depending on the chef. Even so, the original taste of that food which determines its name will never leave. You can still identify that this food is what you are looking for.&nbsp;

It's perfect when I arrived at Sogod Southern Leyte. It's a province part of the region where I'm currently living. May Abuhan is a Visayan word that means like a kitchen in English. If you're a Filipino like me you will be familiar with the food's name and you will be able to see it in their food menu. You will not be afraid of choosing what to choose since you will have an idea of what type of food you're going to eat. Just imagine you are in your small village and most people surrounding you are familiar to you.&nbsp;

Although it took a few minutes before they served the food. It's worth waiting because I must say it tasted like home, the food. I didn't know if they just cooked as soon as we had our orders or they just heated it, not sure though.

It's not an expensive restaurant but the taste of their food is rich. I could tell the original taste was felt by my mouth. Also, I loved how clean the place was even though it's not that wide.

They offer desserts as well but I love halo-halo more so I forgot to ask what the other desserts they offer. You know it's nice to have a dessert after eating food that will make you feel a bit juicy in your mouth because of the dessert's flavor. And overall, the foods tasted like home.&nbsp;
