As you know filipino people love to have conversation in the street. We like to re-group if we don't have things to do. Because of that atittude we are attach to each other, we have that atittude "maikogon" in bisayan dialect. "Maikogon" word means you are shy to refuse something, like foods or work with free. We consider that as an insult if you refuse offer.
This house is my neighboor, as you can see the house it's just an average. The household doesn't have enough money to pay labor because they bought it with a galvanized iron. Correct me if im wrong about this kind of roof, "galvanized".hehe And the son of the owners house have many friends, like talking buddy and a drinking buddy. The first time i saw them they're just talking and i dont know their conversation. But when i went outside the house because of their loud voice and laughing. I saw them repairing the house and ofcourse if you see this kind doing it's free. The household will just offer a juice and a snacks. After their work the household also will give a little amount of money maybe 200 pesos to buy drinks as thank you for helping them. You don't need much money to offer because they already know your situation.
This kind of doing is not hard or tiring because you have many friends to laugh on and enjoy the work. Not all of them are skilled in doing it, others are just a back up to assist to the ones who really knew this kind of work. I forgot to captured the viewers who give orders if the roof doesn't put it well.
This is just part of an atittude of a filipino but not all are like these but most of us. And by the way for english language only, "bayanihan' is heroism in english.
