# I hope you're not here to get rich quick and easy!!!!!

If you thought that Steemit is the place to get rich quick than I think you might be in the wrong place.  Sure you can be successful here but it won't be easy and it definitely won't be free.  You see everyone has an opportunity to earn a piece of the reward pool everday they are active.   The competition for those rewards is pretty fierce and there are users with 2 years experience around here.  I've been here for almost a year and let me tell you this place is absolutely a roller coaster.  

There's a thousand and one ways to earn here on the Steem Blockchain just pick your poison.  I see a lot of projects popping up left and right around here all trying to gain some ground in the area they are in.  Once the masses enter the space it will be much harder to earn those Steem tokens making the price go up theoretically.   Less supply plus more demand equals price rise.  If you have good momentum before the cavalry arrives than chances are you might become extra successful or see that your Steem holdings are now worth 10 times as much!!!!!

Like I said before earning Steem in the future will be much harder than earning it now.   So the more posts you make of good quality the better your chances are of earning Steem.  When the price rises and I know it will, we will regret not posting more.  Just like HF19 when it activated and every post made 7 days prior went up like three times in value.  I immediately wished I would have posted more that week.  Don't live in regret and try to earn as much SP as possible.  If you can afford it, put in a couple dollars you can afford to lose.  This is not investment advice so don't go putting up the mortgage payment.  Slow and steady wins the race.

Since I've been here I have made some great friends and have also learned tons of valuable information.  This is probably the only blockchain where you can actually earn learn and connect with real people all in the same place.  Pretty dope if you ask me.  Joining Steemit has taken my blockchain knowledge up a couple notches.  Now I'm not such a noob anymore. Don't be scared the water around here is luke warm with an occasional shark!!!!!

This is not a safe space and there are monsters in the dark that will wipe out your wallet with no remorse.  Far too many people have lost their holdings by making simple mistakes.  Clicking on a suspicious links or pasting their password in the wrong field.  Be careful and always ask someone if you are not sure what you are doing.  Remember this is run on blockchain technology and there is no refund if you send someone funds accidentally.   Good thing is that Steemit Inc can help you if your account was hacked in some cases.  Not exactly sure the policy or how it works, just be careful with your information.  Like I said before this is not a safe space!!!!!
