Are You Being Happy Even When You Are Not In Control Of Your Emotions?
Are you still finding time to be happy even when you have a small fortune? Do you find it difficult to smile even when there are people around you who have more things to think about than you? Do you find that you can still laugh and joke even with your friends? Are you able to smile at yourself in the mirror even when life seems to be treating you unfairly? If you answered yes to any of the above questions, chances are that you are not happy.

The fact is that everyone wishes to be happy. Some people wish they were. There are some lucky people who find joy in their lives despite the shortcomings of others. However, for the rest of us, being happy means we find the good in the bad and the ugly in the ugly. We realise that we are not perfect and that our imperfections are bound to affect us in some way or another. The only difference is that we learn to cope with them in a positive way and learn to appreciate what life has to offer instead of wasting it.

Unfortunately, if we are honest, most of us would admit that not all of us are happy. In fact, most people would agree that there are times when they would rather be doing something else rather than listening to someone talk about how rotten their life is. Yet, if those same people would take a minute to reflect on the fact that they probably wouldn't make it through another day without their loved ones, they might find that they are still smiling even though they know it will be short-lived.

Being happy requires that you understand that being happy is not about being perfect. It is about enjoying your good times and not worrying whether they will last. Being happy also means that you do not take yourself too seriously. You realise that although people are generally friendly and fun to be around, if you choose to focus on your shortcomings, you will lose the ability to enjoy the company of other people to the full.

One thing that is quite clear from research is that there are some things in life that are worth working towards, regardless of what others think. For example, if you want to be happy, then you should work towards financial security. The thought of not having to worry about how you are going to pay the rent or mortgage, or how you are going to put food on your table is very tempting. However, if you don't focus on the positives in your life and concentrate on your long-term goals, you might find that you are more likely to fail in your efforts to achieve financial security. On the other hand, if you focus your efforts on building up your wealth, you will be able to see the abundance in your life, and that can make you far more happy in your day-to-day life.

Another area in life where you can learn to be happier is in your love life. Having a partner is not only a great source of joy for you but it can be a source of additional joy for those around you. Yet, many of us find that the joy of having a partner is only short-lived. Suddenly, the spark is gone, and you might find yourself dating a new person almost as soon as you were dating the first one. If you can keep your relationship healthy, even after the honeymoon, you might find that your happiness will carry over into your marriage.

One of the most important lessons you can learn when it comes to being happy even when you are struggling is to keep your motivation strong. If you feel like you are dragging yourself out of bed each day to go to work even when you barely have time to get a decent night's sleep, you are likely to be much less motivated to do well in your job. On the other hand, if you start each morning with the thought of being happy, even when you are tired, you are much more likely to stick to your job until you are completely done with it. You can also use your motivation to help you overcome obstacles that you face in your life, such as the shyness that many people feel when first meeting new people.

Being happy even when you are not in control of your emotions is possible, however you need to put some effort into it. When you want something bad enough, sometimes you need to push past your natural hesitancy just to get what you want. Keep in mind that people will be naturally attracted to someone who is happy and positive, so by being yourself, you will be even more likely to succeed. Just keep working at it, and your efforts will eventually pay off.
