Pasai Ocean has been using coins made of gold and tin. The currency of gold is called dinar dab has a level of 7/10 pure gold. The currency was first issued at the time of Sultan Malik al-Zahir (1297-1326). This kind of currency then developed in Malacca.  Under the leadership of Sultan Muhammad Malik al-Zahir, Samudra Pasai published a golden currency with a description of the front with Arabic script Muhammad Malik al-Zahir dab on the back bearing al-sultan al-fair. The diameter of the money is 10 milli meters with a weight of 0.58 grams and 18 karat dikadae.  All the dirham money issued for 220 years by Samudra Pasai contained the writings of AL-ADIL and MALIK Abidin SULTAN. The custom of writing ALL ADVANCE SULTAN is imitated by the Sultan of Aceh as Sultan Ali Mughayat Syah (1514-1530) samapai Sultan Husain alias Sultan Ali Riayat Syah (1589-1604) but at the time of Sultan Iskandar Shah's rule the word is not in use anymore
