Do You Moisturize Before Using BB Cream?

You DO NOT need to apply a moisturizer before your BB cream when in the following cases.

• If the BB cream already includes ingredients which are moisturizing enough for your skin type, do not use a separate moisturizer. 

You DO need to moisturize before the BB cream in the following cases.

• If the BB cream does not clearly state whether it has moisturizing benefits, use a moisturizer. 
• Further, if the BB cream does not feel moisturizing enough on your skin, use a moisturizer. This can also depend on your skin type.
• When you apply your favourite moisturizer, you will know that it is suitable for your skin type if it feels good on your skin. 

Step 1: Apply a Suitable Moisturizer

Go ahead and apply a bit of your favourite moisturizer all over your face and neck in circular motions to blend it evenly into the skin. 

Wait from 30 seconds up to a minute before moving to the next step.

Step 2: Apply Your Favourite BB Cream 

A BB cream can be applied using your fingers, a brush or sponge, depending on your preference. 

Make sure to apply it evenly over your face. Additionally, for a natural, skin-like finish, I recommend not using too much product. Instead, keep it light.

That is how you know whether you need a moisturizer!
