Most of us know the perception of **a bad character of the Hollywood**. There has always been a model of bad characters defined in movies. Here are some of them which came to my mind; being abused at childhood, the anger of loneliness and dereliction, obsessive personality and of course the irreplaceable; **physical disabilities or abnormal physical specialties**.

<center>The thing that drew my attention about this was the thing about **albinos**. Why are albinos shown as evil or even demonic characters in movies?</center>

In the movie **Matrix Reloaded**, the albino twins were possibly the evilest of the agents who were after Neo. Even in **the Harry Potter** series, **''Draco Malfoy''** and of course his dad also is an **albino** character.
And, I think **the most** sensational one is that **the evil ''Silas'' from The Da Vinci Code** is also an albino.The Silas character which was depicted as looking like a ghost, pale skinned and having demonic red eves had taken many rightful reactions from albinos.
<center>I don't know why and with which logic Hollywood is doing this. Maybe serving the uncommon as frightening is a profitable thing but if you ask me this should be taken seriously, ***my answer is yes.***</center>

Throughout history, mankind has always cursed and opposed to both physical differences and differences related to faith and ideology. This behavioral disease of communities!( Yes, it is a disease that needs to be treated) caused big troubles for the minorities. And albinos were seen as demonic especially at the middle age and were always the firsts targets on the famous witch hunts.
<center>***The middle age darkness is buried in history but **Modern age cruelty** continues in other forms.***</center>
Aren't we punishing the people who aren't part of a majority of their differences? Why!! Moreover, if this difference is physical aren't we attacking them with entertainment tools? *Don't say this is an innocent thing, please!*
We often show the evil inside us with such hidden ways. Doesn't anyone think how the evil and indiscretion we do for fun in popular culture would **affect a kid** or **a teen** with the albinizm disease **in real life?**
Why am I this sensitive you say? If there has to be a special reason; my childhood friend is an albino and I remember the things he had gone through in school like yesterday. I have seen how they tried to turn his life which already was hard into hell. I was ashamed of my swarthiness.
Aren't there albino people around you?

### Albinism

It is a genetic disease related to melanin biosynthesis deformity. Melanin that gives color to hair, skin and the eyes is either very limited or none. And contrary to the thoughts it isn't just a skin disease. The actual big problem is sight loss in the eyes after a certain age. Albinism is not only seen in humans but also seen in other mamal types. There is no known cure for this genetically passed disease.
### It has 2 types;
**Ocular Albinism**(only in eyes) and **Oculocutaneous Albinism**(in eyes, hair, and skin)
In all the types of OKA and OA, there are different levels of nystagmus, light sensitivity(photophobia), lack(hypopigmentation) of iris and retinal epithelium, foveal hypoplasia, decreased sight sharpness and sometimes there is deterioration about seeing colors. In albinism, the main difference will be in the optical system.
In general population, there are 1 albinism circumstances in 17000.
Because there are no color pigments in albino patients they will be directly affected by **harmful rays of the sun**. Though these rays won't cause **skin cancer** immediately, albino patients have a very high risk of getting skin cancer. That is why they always need to put protective creams and wear a hat when going out.
Also, they need to wear sunglasses to protect their eyes. Even for albino babies, the families will need to use dark screened sunglasses.

As seen in this information, life is harder for some of us. Then why do we want to make it harder?
Just imagine you are an albino and when you are scared of even taking your child to the park when you have many things to protect yourself and the baby from, wouldn't it make your life harder if there was also the pointless and strange reactions of the people?
