I'm Posting My Photography on Minds.com; If You Post Too, Let's Connect

Having seen @distantsignal post his updates regarding his filmmaking here on Steemit, I had noticed he was also posting on numerous other websites which were detailed in his posts; if you've seen his updates, you'll have seen he's incredibly supportive of blockchain technology and the ways in which it can support and influence creators alike through their features.

As someone that is always looking for new places to post their photography, especially when I have zero interest in supporting websites such as Facebook or using Twitter seriously, I, too, am always searching for innovative new websites to use, especially when they are more in favour of the poster/user rather than the advertiser or their own pockets.

Minds.com, so far, seems to be incredibly open regarding the types of content available to upload. I've seen posts I agree with, I've seen posts I disagree with, and I've seen a whole lot of artists such as myself searching for additional ways to spread their creations throughout cyberspace -- that, to me, is my ideal website. A mixture of content, an ocean of ideas and personalities forged together.

So, if you happen to be a user of Minds.com, or are thinking about setting up an account, let me know in the comments here so we can connect and support each other. Just a heads-up, though: I will only be posting my photography to that website, and no blog-like posts about film or anything else. I'll probably also review the platform after a few weeks or so of using it, especially if it seems worthy of spreading the word.

Just yet I can't say how beneficial the whole rewards system is for the user, having just started using the platform myself, but let's hope it's similar to Steem in the sense that *all* people actually do get something for posting.

It's hard to tell just yet, haha, but it seems like another site that focuses on reducing censorship and rewarding those who post/use the site. I shall see with more time whether it's really worth it, though.

I looked at it briefly, just a bit daunting,
I have been here exactly a year, and built a number
of relationships and had fun, but I feel like I would
be starting all over. Time is an issue too, steem takes
enough of my free time.
I opened an account @Karbon and give it a test run.

Yeah, I could never see myself actively using it, nor will it ever overtake my time here on Steem. But for me, just finding another place to share my photography without having to think much or write big posts like I do on here, it's fine.

Thanks for the mention!  I’ve been on Minds for a while and I can’t say I enjoy my time on the platform.  I can’t tell if Metamask is working on the site or why I still get rewarded on the Rinkovic test net instead of main net. Reached out to the support forums and didn’t get a response. Steem is better in my opinion.  It’s holistic, distributed,  users power the network and it works!  Minds is so meh.  Sorry to naysay, but I think it needs work.

I already agree with you. It definitely needs a lot of work, and that's mostly why I am only going to bother posting photography on there rather than anything more serious like I do on here. 

One thing I'm definitely disliking is how difficult it is to find content I want to see, rather than the endless boosted posts/recommended posts about nonsensical politics; even though I've picked certain tags that do appeal to me. 

Either way, it's a free site that offers *some* reward for the posting of content, and I can't complain too much for what I'm using it for. Perhaps for you it might be a bit different, but I'll begin to support you on there however I can and hopefully we'll both see some nice changes and growth through time.

Also, could it be that the rewards now function on the Ethereum mainnet instead? I'm looking into this a bit more and that's kinda my understanding of it. It is a bit confusing.
