Philippine corals
I love corals. They are beautiful when you look at the colorful reef. They are an amazing architectural project. House for the thousands and millions of marine dwellers. But I also like to close up look at corals.

In each trip I put a macro lens and shoot corals. Over the years, I have accumulated a large collection of various corals. Textures and patterns. Colors. Forms.

The stronger the magnification during shooting, the more unusual the result is. Shooting in one place you can make a dozen completely different frames. Some photos give birth to associations in our brains. Some are absolutely aliens)

I'm not going to tell you about corals now. On the contrary, I want to show abstract images. An example of the art of nature.
All of them were made during one dive in the Philippines. And I could easily continue this visual series. But then it will be tempting to look at all the photos in passing. And it seems to me that they should be looked at longer.

Fascinating. Great shots. How do get your macro images so steady in the water? I'm always struggling with shake and water movement. I don't have a strobe yet though. Just a video light.

In water, it is sometimes easier to avoid shaking than on land.
Moreover, I try to set the shutter speed to 1/125-1/160 for macro.
Maybe with constant light it's harder. The flash is more powerful. It allows you to set more comfortable parameters.
