I was hopeless when I met Jesus.
I sat lonely in the valley of death.
Life to me was meaningless on this earth.
I wondered why God did not take away my breath.
On me the sky rained torrent of sorrows.
In my ears, principalities sang awful chorus.
Danger roared on me like an injured lion.
Obviously, I was missing beautiful Zion.
The sword of death swang over my soul.
And the fire of hell licked its devouring tongues.
So amazing, how Jesus came to me.
He snatched me from the jaws of death,
And brought me to the land of life.
In Him, I have seen light.
Never will I go back
To the land where it was dark.
Now I rejoice and Him, I praise.
Singing of His amazing Grace.
Whilst I'm in the race
to the higher grounds,
in Heaven above.
Thank you, my Lord.
You are the greatest God.
