In support of the 3rd SDG: Good Health and Well-being and fulfilment of our goals towards provision of eyecare to deprived community and less privileged individuals as an organization based on the steemit blockchain,  @bettervision would be undertaking a free eye screening exercise tomorrow in the Kubease township along the Accra-Kumasi high road, N6, [6.670074135234264, -1.3707376260997435](https://goo.gl/maps/SDCq7cnDXh6x4Lay6) (Google Map location).

This was made possible after our proposal to perform a free screening was accepted by local authorities to help others who may be in need of our services. We wish to encourage all steemians within the vicinity or close location to comeby too to get their eyes checked for free. There will also be free distribution of spectacles and medication should you be in need of one after your care. Looking forward to a great day and thanks for you time.

What is @bettervision?

@bettervision is is a project initiated by @nattybongo and friends to give back to the society the knowledge and skill acquired through the Optometric Studies in Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Ghana.It is an outreach system where we visit the less privileged communities to offer free eye screening services and education to the people within the community. We have been running for the past two years and have worked on projects with @adollaraday, @girlsfoundation and @fundition over these. **AIMS AND OBJECTIVES**
To reduce or prevent vision loss through diseases such as glaucoma, cataract and refractive errors.

To enlighten the majority of the Ghanaian population about the importance of proper visual care.

To conscientize people on the need for regular eye checks

To get more people to have their wards screened within the Critical periods of a Child’s Vision Development; thus from ages 3 to till about 10 years.

To help the blind and people with low vision live a better life within the society through education of the general public to stop stigmatization.

To help in the fight of extreme poverty that puts the health of people at risk
