Warner anuncia DC Universe como su servicio de streaming

A pesar de no estar haciendolo tan bien en el cine, Warner Bros. apuesta a explotar el formato de web serie con DC Universe, su plataforma de streaming.
Finalmente, Warner Bros. ha develado el nombre que llevará su nueva plataforma de streaming. DC Universe será el portal que aloje las producciones que se desarrollen desde la editorial de Batman y Superman y contará de movida con cuatro shows: Titans y Swamp Thing, ambos live action, la tercera temporada de Young Justice y la serie animada de Harley Quinn.

Repasando un poco cada una de las cuatro producciones reveladas, en primer lugar tenemos Titans. Si bien todo parecía ser luces y arcoiris para el show de los jóvenes sidekicks, las últimas imágenes filtradas (en especial la de Starfire) han puesto un poco en retisencia a los fans. Por otro lado, las imágenes oficiales de Robin, Hawk y Dove han sido muy bien recibidas por lo que habrá que esperar para saber si es uno más del montón o uno realmente interesante.

Por el lado de Swamp Thing, el personaje que fue llevado a la fama en los ’80 por Alan Moore tendrá su serie live-action en dónde James Wan (Aquaman) será productor ejecutivo de la serie. Por el momento se desconoce cualquier otro detalle, pero no cabe duda que esto trae buena expectativa a los seguidores del lado más serio y oscuro de DC.

En cuanto a las series animadas, se estrenará la tan esperada tercera temporada de Young Justice, el show que fue cancelado en 2013 y que tras la masiva manifestacion de sus seguidores en las redes sociales ha logrado volver al aire. Por último, Harley Quinn tendrá un show enfocado también el público más maduro y contará con la voz de Margot Robbie como la desquiciada ex-psiquiatra de Arkham.
