Good times. What takes you to Jamaica? Is it somewhere you'd consider staying medium-term?

I'm quite interested in trying my hand at the PT lifestyle, and I'm always interested in hearing of decent places to stay for a while. :)

The first time, my wife and I went on our honeymoon at the recommendation of some friends.  Both times we went we stayed in Negril, but on the second trip we ventured to some different parts of the island as well.  The resort we stayed at was [Couples Negril](http://couples.com/resorts/negril), it's all-inclusive and absolutely amazing.  My wife isn't one to go back to the same resort multiple times, but I can get her back to Jamaica any day.

One thing I really love about that resort is that it's not in the main bay in Negril so there are only a few resorts within view and no water traffic.

Nice. I've not been up that side, but I'd like to go sometime.  I don't really want to do the resort thing, at the same time I don't want to wonder around downtown Kingston and get shot up... so I'll have to link up with some people who live there.

Have you ventured to any of the other islands?
