Hello friends, scientists have found a new planet, its color is Vantablack. You would like to know, because it is so dark, here we explain it to you!

WASP-104b the Dark Planet:

Researchers at the University of Keele (United Kingdom) have discovered one of the darkest planets ever detected, the dark probably has to do with the proximity of the planet to its star, a yellow dwarf some 466 light years from Earth, in the Leo constellation. It is a gas giant that is the size of Jupiter and is 1,076 light years away, astronomers have found certain similarities between this planet and Mercury, with the difference that, while the second is far from the sun, the first is too close. That has caused that the atmosphere of WASP-104b has disappeared completely, its atmosphere absorbs approximately 97-99% of the visible light that its star offers, it is composed of sodium and potassium, the temperature is really infernal, reaching 1,200ºC it is full of fog, the orbit in 175 days,

Is it really that black?

Hot Jupiters are not really black matte, like coal, or Vantablack (the darkest material in the world); that comparison is to reflect, not to emit light. Due to its extreme heat, Habano shines. In this case, the closest thing to an intense purple color instead of an opaque black.

The tides block the planet. Which means that one side always looks at the sun, and the other side is darker and colder.

According to the researchers, WASP-104b is formed together with TrES-2b and HAT-P-7b, the trio of the darkest known planets. At the moment, all three shared a podium, since the measurements could not be established more clearly than the rest of all. In the record, TrES-2b tops the list because it reflects 0.1% of the light it receives.
