And at the sight of wealth, I sold My conscience to the agents of the dark. *** Now the peace I once had I have lost In my quest For the desires I sought. *** We often neglect our happiness and our peace In the pursuit of wealth and fame We are often imprisoned By our ambitions Or by goals that we set for ourselves But in the end It’s that happiness that we seek For the wealth and fame Are only but vanities *** Our state of mind is measured by happiness Our sanity is hinged on it Have it in mind that your happiness is priceless And that it measures our sanity.
