WAYS THROUGH WHICH HUMAN RIGHTS HAVE BEEN VIOLATED IN UGANDA
Human rights are those that are GOD-given and every person is entitled to such rights because he/she is human. These right rights apply regardless of the nationality, race, religion, tribe, political brief, age and social status.
Concerns about violations of human rights and expression are relatively increased during the time when Uganda was preparing for the presidential and parliamentary elections in early 2016. The police forces obstructed some candidates from accessing media and public meetings.

These rights protect individuals' freedom from being infringement by governments, social organizations, and private individuals. In other words, they ensure one's ability to participate in the civil and political life of the society and state without discrimination or repression.
