•1: Yes I have been scammed.

I was on Facebook one faithful day and saw a private message telling me that if am the first to wish a happy birthday to kanu Nwankwo, that there's a prize for me. So I hurriedly sent the happy birthday to the link that was dropped and that was how my journey of scam began.

They chatted me privately and even demanded my phone number, which I sent to them. At first it seemed real that was why I was falling for everything they say. 

Along the line they listed a whole lot of prizes that I've won and asked for how I would love the items to get to me,, I told them they should waybill it naw. They now started giving me charges. From lagos to Abia state was 5k, so I hurriedly sent it to them with happiness that am gonna get gift of 50k. After some days,, I tried the number, and I was told it was not available.....


•2: Well, steemit is not a scam because if it is I don't think I will be preaching to you about steemit. I have joined steemit since 2020 and I have benefited a lot from it. So no scam attached to it.

That's bad as they used a celebrity's name to scam you.
Thank God you didn't give more than what you had.
Truly,steemit is not a scam

I had similar experiences though not through birthday wishing but I sent them Glo recharge card of 5k to waybill my price. The thing enter voice mail. From Lagos to Kano, to Zamfara, motor spoil etc until now

Oh my God! you are quite lucky. A friend of mine sent 30,000 naira for something similar. It's all good sha.. Sorry ma. And i myself have come across stuff like that but i always choose to ignore.

My I almost fall a victim to this one. And I told him to use his money and send that once the gift arrived that I will pay him. Though my own was not wishing them happy birthday. But from Samsung phone users
