I am watching a documentary about Iraq ravaged by post war internal conflicts, while looking at the images of the victorious Iraqi army, the contrast of the ruble on the streets and the dirty faces of children hiding from those bearded armed men became evident that peace brings long lasting misery and sufferance to the people, and war brings immediate misery and sufferance to them.

If you are the people, you just can't win, you are damned and condemned since day one to be a slave, Iraq might be a extreme, but while watching the news you realize that the president who yesterday condemned police brutality in Hong Kong is the same that today sent his police to brutalize his citizens.
