Hello Steemians,

We got an interesting theme today which is Kusing-Kusing. This term suggests making noise using an instrument but in this regard the instrument is usually an improvised one. It is a common thing for children here in the Philippines to create them using a metal wire and flattened soda bottle caps. That's how the sound is created when you shake it just like a maracas or tambourine. My entry today is another version of the Kusing-Kusing. I haven't made one like this when I was young but I saw it from other kids in one of our carolling nights back then.

Instead of winding the caps on a metal string, you get a wooden handle and insert a nail big enough to accommodate a few caps. Be sure you have enough to create a decent sound. 

My kids are all grown up now but they didn't experience creating their own Kusing-Kusing and never had the opportunity to do carolling. That's how life was back in the days when there was no internet. You make your own if you can.
