Tolmin Gorge, a walk through paradise

I went back home for a week to take a short break from busy life in Dubai. We took the opportunity for a short walk in one of my favourite places around my hometown. Tolmin Gorge.

The Tolmin Gorge embraces the area around the two rivers, Tolminka and Zadlascica. It is approximately 200 m long, 60 m deep and 5 to 10 m wide.

The bottom of the gorges hides a lot of attractions. Thermal spring, natural windows, waterfalls wedged boulders and the most famous one, The bears head.

Bears head is the name of the natural bridge - a large rock which got stuck between the walls in the canyon. The rock covered in moss aroused the imagination of human beings long time ago - it looked like the head of the bear.
