Diet tip - always eat when you are hungry
I think one of the worst mistakes that people make when they are attempting to lose weight is that rather than changing up what they eat, they simply try to eat less, even at the expense of being really hungry a lot of the time.  This is bad and most trainers will agree that this can have long-standing effects that are detrimental to overall health and fitness.

I'm not saying that you should order a pan pizza every time you feel a bit peckish but if you don't eat when you are hungry or even if you try to placate that hunger by filling up your stomach with water or coffee, you are doing a disservice to your body and metabolism.

your body is fantastic at adapting for survival, and when it starts to expect lowered amounts of food, it will go into what *MyFitnessPal* describes as "starvation mode" where your body intentionally operates at a lower capacity in order to survive.

I plug this app a lot but that is only because I truly believe in it.  They don't pay me to say this or anything crazy like that (I wish they would!) It is simply a product that was instrumental in my progression of losing 50 lbs in a year and keeping it off.

You should keep a bunch of healthy snacks in your fridge for when you are feeling like a snack between meals and these snacks should be as low on carbs as possible.   For example, in my fridge I keep the following items at all times

*  Cheeses 
*  Mixed vegetables for dipping into sauces
*  A variety of sauces and spreadable cheeses such as cream cheese
* milk for mixing with protein shakes
* some leftover protein such as chicken, steak, or pork

This might not be the bag of Doritos that your body is used to if you lived and irresponsible life like I did before deciding to stop being a fat ass, but it gets the job done and after a while you get used to it and actually start to enjoy it more than the chips and candies that you might have kept in reserve before.

Don't get me wrong.  I have nothing against awesome snacks like Doritos, but unfortunately things like this do very little in the way of providing actual nutrition and also contain a mountain of carbs of the worst variety.  You have to make some sacrifices in life if you want to achieve success and this is one of them.

The main point of all of this is that you need to eat when you are hungry.   I know a few people that have experienced success with intermittent fasting and I don't really have much to say about that.  I can only comment on what has worked for me and one of my main strategies was to ALWAYS eat when my body was telling me to eat.  

**so far in my plan we should have done the following**
*  Recognize that you are a fat-ass and you want to change it
* eliminate almost all carbohydrates from your life and replace it with high levels of protein
* stop believing that fruit and fruit juice is weight loss food (it isn't) 
* get easy cardio into your life - 30 minute walks are fine, don't try to be a hero
* eat when you are hungry, but eat the correct stuff
