This was the first location me and @simba stopped at, on our last photo-trip.  The view was scenic but what caught my eye (and my cam lens 😋) was this huge old tree which @simba identified as a **Male** *Carob Tree*.   *Carob* (scientific name: *Ceratonia siliqua*) is an evergreen tree which rises to a height of 10-15 meters. It has a wide and round landscape and its distribution in large parts of Israel.   The carob trees bloom in October and this is the **only** Mediterranean tree that blooms at that time. *a peep through the carob branches*    The carob's origin is in the eastern Mediterranean, and it also grows in other places, for fruit and for decoration.
