# Changes are ahead 
_Patents, closed source and copyrights are on one side._ 

## Free and open on the other 
**With the European Union starting to become the political extension of banks and multinationals, their law making is a reflection of that. There is a lot of controversy about the upcoming _internet censorship_ ruling, in 2019 there will be a final vote on that subject. Even though some belief it can be stopped, I think it is naieve to think so. The final setup is done behind closed doors and in secret. Sub rosa, all the way through.** 

Now, this is how things work in the _banking monetary governance_ {bmg} system. And it is hard to change from within. It is even absurd that those in government even dare to claim they are allowed to act in secret. Hiding things from the people they are supposed to represent. Yet instead they rule over them, as if the people are inferiors. To change such a system from within has been tried before and failed every time. 

We, the people, can create and support the alternatives though. Think about Bitcoin for example. If there ever was an _alternative_ that could really change the way _the system_ works then it is BTC. And it could not have done so if there had been no _free and open source_ licenses available. No matter if it is GNU, Apache, BSD or MIT, they gave us _the alternative_. Liberated from expensive patent restrictions and closed source. And it works. 

## Linux proves it 
The internet could not run effectivily if there were no free and open source operating system like Linux. Large companies made huge profits thanks to free and open source licenses. It was believed to be a weird _alternative_ thing, yet it proved it could be a goose with the golden egg too. The free and open source showed how an alternative can be able to change a system from the outside. 

Just like the Cryptos still are doing. Although there are those who still want to _regulate_ it, they apparantly do not get that Cryptos self regulate. It is a decentralized trustless alternative, that will change the _banking monetary governance_ system from the outside. Free and Open source licenses are very important to secure the future liberty for human kind. Just like licenses for freedom of expression. 

## Creative Commons 
The best way to offer an alternative to absurd ruling like the upcoming EU _internet censorship_ laws are liberty guaranteed licenses. And for freedom of expression the best fitting set of licenses offered are known as _Creative Commons_. There are several kinds and I have been using the CC0 and CC-BY-SA ones mostly. CC0 means all rights are waved away, and the _thing_ that holds this license can be used in any way. Exception, one can never claim the works of others to be theirs. 

With the CC-BY-SA license, that I use mostly, my work can be used freely, even changed and mixed up. Yet, my name has to be written somewhere as the original creator. Even when it is being used commercialy. And any derived work or product has to be released under the same license. To me that is a very smart license setup. No copyright system, but a free to share and use alternative. 

## They could go behind a paywall 
The most bizar thing of the _internet censorship_ regulation is that companies and producers of content want money for linking to their work. Why? If their work is closed sourced copywrited, then nobody should even put links to their work out there on the free and open internet. That is like trying to control the open free market. If these companies want people to make a profit for their work they should go behind a paywall. But who will want to buy that? 

It is just like cutting into their own flesh trying let others pay for linking to the content they produce. This to me is so dumb that I find it hard to take serious. What if search engines were to lower their ranking? In all fairness, because those companies want to decide how search engines should produce the results. No more intro texts or the use of a heading title. Only keywords, or otherwise pay for the link. It is just crazy to even suggest it... 

## We need a free and open internet 
And therefore it is important to use those free and open source licenses. Because search engines will rather use links to those sources instead of those idiotic self destructive link taxed content. Apparantly those who believed that was a good idea to lobby for did not get that they need a high raking in popular search engines. Because now they could become black taxlisted by most major search engines. 

The alternative has to make sure the make a strong statement. It has to be very clear that free and open sourced licenses are being used. Just like those who want freedom of expression add a clear creative commons license to their work. When vloggers want to use music, they could use those released under a Creative Commons license. If a writer wants to use an image, there are a lot of CC0 images out there. Let us be the alternative by using these works and licenses.
