 One of the most important things a sound local church will do for you is prepare you for is tough days.

While it's true that the believer has received a new life, it's equally important to note that this new life doesn't mean you are excluded from the reality of challenging times.

There are steps you can take to ensure that you stay encouraged every day, on good days and bad days.

Chief among them is continuous fellowship with the brethren.
Fellowship is God’s design for your spiritual growth.

We ought to fellowship with one another in the study of the word and prayer.

We’re the body of Christ, we help each other grow in the knowledge of the word. We ought to study God’s word together, we ought to pray together.

The fact that we are regarded as the body of Christ already gives us the idea that we are not meant to be alone. A body has many parts, and these parts support each other.

>Eph 4:16 says: “From whom the whole body fitly joined together and compacted by that which every joint supplieth, according to the effectual working in the measure of every part, maketh increase of the body unto the edifying of itself in love.”

If you will stay encouraged, you must find a local assembly where the word of God is properly taught and stay committed. That way, you have people who can pray with you, teach you, watch out for you and provoke you unto good works.

A Christian without godly fellowship is like a fish out of water.

Rom 15:1-2 says: “We then that are strong ought to bear the infirmities of the weak, and not to please ourselves. Let every one of us please his neighbour for his good to edification.”

That is the way to stay revived. When we are weak, there are those who can strengthen us, if we are strong, there are people we can strengthen.

By sharpening others, you yourself are strengthened. Fellowship with other brethren is a mechanism put in place for your constant revival. Don’t neglect it!
