Liverpool is marching on and they gave an impressive showing against Chelsea. They duly dispatched Chelsea and made Chelsea look ordinary.

Deploying Hazard as a striker has never been a bonus for Chelsea because it limits Hazard's game play. Chelsea didn't really have much threat upfront and I was alarmed when I saw the possession at 82% to 18% in favour of Liverpool. Chelsea players were totally outclassed and at some point they looked like they were outnumbered too.

Liverpool were persistent in their approach and game plan and the finally got the reward through Sadio Mane. He enjoyed a delightful cross from their captain; Jordan Henderson and he headed into the empty net.

Liverpool were not done as Mohammed Salah unleashed a sensational strike that went straight into the top left hand corner of the net, leaving everyone in awe of such a wonderful goal. It is a goal that would do so well for advertisement.

Chelsea tried to rally round but Liverpool kept playing as if they were the ones trailing. They kept at it and wouldn't let Chelsea breathe. Hazard was deployed to his favourite left side while Gonzalo Higuain came in to replace Hodson. It was a move that could have paid off as Hazard got close to three wonderful chances but he was unlucky with them; he hit the pole, and tamely hit another. It would have sparked a comeback from Chelsea. This is a clear indication that Hazard prefers to operate from the left but the coach is too adamant to deploy him as a striker.

The game would have been evenly balanced if Hazard had started from his favourite position. Liverpool's dominance paid off as they deservedly ran out 2-0 winner on the night. They are back to the top of the table but with Manchester City playing a game less.

The race for the top 4 and also the title seem to be going down to the wire and I am excited to see how it will play out.
