여수 돌산의 폐교 1 벚꽃
아침에 일어나서 바깥을 보고 운무인 줄 알았다. 
오전에 여수 시내를 한번 둘러보고 향일암으로 향했다. 

여수는 생각보다 큰 도시다 
몇달은 살아보아야 조금은 알 수 있을 것 같다.

향일암 구경을 마치고 다시 돌아가는 길에 우연히 폐교를 보았다. 
폐교앞에 벚꽃이 기가 막히게 피었다.
차를 멈추고 폐교로 갔다.

사진기를 들고 내렸다. 한동안 카메라를 사용하지 않았다. 카메라로 찍고 싶은 것들이 별로 보이지 않았다. 
이번은 뭔가 달랐다. 
교사 정면으로 갔다

족히수십년은 됨직한 벚나무다. 
이제까지 이렇게 굵은 벚나무는 별로 보지 못한 것 같다.

차를 타고 나서 황사인줄 알았다.
연막이 깔린 것 같았다. 

오랜만에 색을 조정했다. 
다시 사진 찍으러 다녀야 하나 하는 생각이 들었다. 
아침에 포스팅하면서 그동안 찍은 사진을 보았다. 
그때는 몰랐는데 찍고 나서 보니 느낌이 남다르다. 
아련한 추억 같기도 하고 그 사진이 나에게 말을 걸어 오는 것 같기도 하다. 

세상에 존재했던 순간을 포착한다는 것은 정말로 매력적인 작업임에는 틀림이 없다.

향일암쪽 새로난 길로 가는 도중에 폐교가 있지요. 아마도 맞은편 버스정류장에서 비내리던 작년 가을. 아들과 컵라면 끓여먹었던 기억이 생생하네요. 좋은시간 보내세요.
