Who are the followers coming after posting a post

I have noticed a new phenomenon since recently,  I gather between 10 to 15 new followers every time when I post a new article. I'm pretty sure these are not organic because they come all at once in the first minute, each of them has a reputation (25), I have never received a single comment from them or a upvote.

So we can conclude that they are bots, but still, I do not understand their purpose, what benefit they bring to their owner?
if someone knows who they are and what they are used for I would very much like to know.

I am not an expert on this but I will give my take on it. These accounts are being created and swoop in to follow folks hoping that you will click the follow button and follow them as well.
The purpose is that when they reach a large number of their own followers, the name will be change on that account to reflect some sort of up vote or re-steem service, but in order to be that type of service they need followers, so they give them names that appear more like real people and if you go look at their page you will find some posts and some re-steems that would make you think they are real people. What you won't find is a picture of an actual person holding a dated sign like most of us did when we joined here, to show that we are real people.
If that isn't bad enough on that deception you can also see how they use these accounts to steal money from people if you go look at @sami100 , that account is stealing from people daily when they inadvertently post their user key in a transaction, it is a bot that swoops in and grabs the key and attacks the wallet of the person who made the mistake.
Then @sami100 transfers the loot to another account and then that account promptly shuffles it off to blocktrades and cashes it out.
Go look for yourself and see @sami100 's wallet transactions and then you will know why these accounts are being created. @enchantedspirit did the math on old @sami100 for this month, it has stolen over $1,400 USD equivalent in steem this month alone and just cashed it out in a series of transfers.
So now you know of at least two reasons and there may be more that I'm not aware of, yet.

"Send me 1 steem and I will resteem your post to my 2,000 followers." Of course, this is where the 2,000 followers come from. Enough people are naive enough to follow back. My guess is that you will be lucky to get a 10% return for your 1 steem.

I'd be astonished if you get a 1% return.  We *know* -- you and I -- how we feel about the crap that gets resteemed in our feeds.  I've even seen people analyzing the low quality of the "followers" on these accounts.  It's another something that sounds good -- until you look into it.  (Or have to wade through the s**t.)

There are a couple of this kind of accounts and imo their purpose is to build a resteem service. They follow you in hopes that you will follow back. After some time they will remove you from the follow list and follow you again in a couple of days.

I noticed the same thing, its super annoying as they are just spamming youtube clips to their feeds. I hope they stop soon, as though my numbers look healthy they are fake and that is not cool.

Yup, I noticed that thing too and it does not have any sense to me. Those are dead followers and have not noticed any use from them.
