As the legalization of marijuana spread across the continents, there is no contesting or refuting that the stigma that was once attached to marijuana smokers have begun to disintegrate over the years which brings to mind the aforementioned, when is the right time and place ? how harmful is it ? can pregnant women smoke marijuana?


Some Medical experts have recommended that that a glass of wine for pregnant woman isn’t in no way injurious to the unborn child, so does the same thesis  goes for marijuana…………….?

The Answer is NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So far there is no centralized data base system that captures the rate at which pregnant mums smoke weed, but a data was going round stipulating that the rate at which pregnant mother take weed has increased from 2.4% to 3.9% between 2002 ---------2014.

One of the effect is delay in motor development which occurs in the early stage which is when the child is a year old .

There is a report going round that smoking weed makes you a better mother as it relaxes you and makes you feel light, nevertheless,in certainty it all bothers down to the fact that  no one is a better mother for both the trivial and chronic use of marijuana.It means don't smoke weed when you are pregnant or lactating.

From my own perspective a child should not have to surfer for the mother’s addiction, even during lactation, let’s put into perspective that an unborn child’s brain cannot withstand the euphoria and panic that comes with smoking weed.

This article was published to educate the youth on the dangers of smoking weed while carrying a fetus, some medical expert stipulated that the incomprehensible  actions of some children that were exposed to weed goes to show how dangerous it is, for example the child gets angry at very trivial things  and most often are violent with just little provocation
