Auction Finds - Your grandma's kitchen

<p><strong>Many of you will recognise some of these items from your mother's or grandmother's kitchen. If you are very fortunate, you may still own some of these pieces, as there seems to be nothing as durable as vintage kitchenalia (which is the term used to describe any collectible item that falls into the category of "used in the kitchen".)</strong></p>

<p>These beautiful old wooden buckets were snapped up very quickly! They would most probably have been used to transport dry goods such as flour, rice, or even animal feed.</p>

<p>These old food storage tins are very popular among those who like the shabby chic style of decorating.</p>

<p>This is arguably one of South Africa's most popular toasters. They can be used over an electric or gas stove, or over charcoal on a braai (barbeque). There is barely a church bazaar or fete that is not graced by a stall making toasted sandwiches with these toasters. The most popular filling is savoury mince, but sweetcorn, or cheese jaffles are popular too.</p>

Oh yes! Seen a few of these items in my Mom’s kitchen. She even taught me how to use a few of them, but the spong is not anything I have ever seen. Most unusual. I like the little adds at the bottom of the page. Fifties style!

I like the wooden bucket a lot! 
I am looking for a wooden bath tub or something very similar to a Japanese wooden bath tub!
Do you think this is a good idea?
This will use less hot water as it is much smaller than a usual or standard bath tub. I am also thinking of having a solar panel in the near future.
