Uber launched Uber Copter services in New York, USA, a few days ago. As the name suggests, Uber Copter is a helicopter - based ride-hailing service that is maintained by Uber Elevate. Uber Elevate itself is a subsidiary of Uber which was established three years ago, which has the ambition to provide a "motorcycle taxi" service via the airway.  Users can rent Uber's helicopter service starting July 9, with a price tag of up to 225 US dollars or around Rp 3.2 million per one-time flight. In its operation, Uber Copter will deliver users from New York City to John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) with a travel time of 8 minutes. In comparison, the travel time from New York City to JFK Airport by car can reach 50 to 75 minutes.

This Uber helicopter can accommodate up to 5 passengers. For matters of baggage, a Uber Copter passenger may not carry luggage that weighs more than 40 pounds or around 18 kg. To order Uber Copter services, users can use their Uber application. They can also order Uber Copter five days before they travel with this Uber helicopter. Unfortunately, as summarized  KompasTekno  of the  New York Times , Friday (06/07/2019), not all users can be ordered Uber Uber Copter. Because, only users who have Platinum or Diamond status can enjoy Uber Copter.

In addition to the Uber Copter service, when Uber Copter passengers landed, they would be picked up using a Uber car that would take them to the last destination point, such as an airport or others. Nevertheless, it is not yet known whether Uber Copter can be used to deliver users to other areas, besides the route of the city of New York and JFK International Airport or not.
