Jefferson Parish secures funding for 'living coastline' in Bucktown as work continues on boardwalk

*That $1.7 million project, funded by the parish and the Environmental Protection Agency, will include benches, bird-watching stands and educational signs for visitors, and will serve as an "outdoor classroom" for educators and other groups after its completion this spring.*

Interesting article about how Jefferson Parish is building a boardwalk for educational purposes. $1.7 million seems like a lot of money for a pier, lol. I guess that's just me thinking about how much things cost  in the past. I like to see how this turns out, I have a deep interest in this type of nature. Should be cool, and educational for students to see for decades to come.....
