This is my participation for the new edition of the weekly contest held by @strecoza called "Object of the Week."

This contest consists of bringing pictures of a given object. This week we have to bring **sofa cushions** pictures. 

I will start by saying that the cushions that can be found in my house, are all home-made. Yes, they are made by my mom and her sewing machine :)

It is a kind of tradition that started a few years ago. It was during the month of December, which is a month in which many people, but especially women, want to make changes at home and decorate.

My mom felt this urge to rearrange the furniture, and she asked us to undo the old cushions we already had, so she could sew new "clothes" for those cushions. The result was so good, and my mom had so much fun (I think), that she ended up creating a new tradition. Now, we have new cushions, or at least in appearance, every 2 or 3 years, depending how wasted the cushions look.

These three cushions are her last creation. She sewed their "clothes" last year, on December. 
Since she's such a dedicated tailor, some people come to her to ask for her service :)
