Today is the day Our Lord God has made so let's rejoice, Amen!



After reaching *"Nyamebekyere"* village at 4 pm, during the evening we were fed with fufu, light soup and chicken as I reported in my last Diary. It was time for us to go to bed and said our prayers for Our Almighty God to grant us peaceful sleep and sleep so that we could crown the day. Good been so good we woke up with much strength.

At 4 am we woke up; it seemed that we couldn't sleep since we were thinking about how things would go. We the males took our bath and followed by the women. By 6 am, every family member was ready dressed in his/her clothes. That was so fast. Actually, we didn't sleep at the Bridegroom's house but one of our family members house at cloth to the place we would perform the ceremony. 



We walked to Nyamebekyere, the right place where the Engagement were taking place. All the place was dim and canopy with cocoa trees. They told we the strangers that the way to the Lady's house was very closed, but not as close as we see.

We have a lot of adventure to share on this small way to *"Nyamebekyere,"* we passed through a certain high wooden bridge constructed in this cocoa farm. According to the inhabitants, when it rains the river could flow   to about 1 mile under the cocoa tree. If that happens, no one make attempt to cross the bridge since is very dangerous and one could drown in the river. The women were frightened when crossing the bridge.

We finally reached the house my Brother's wife who was yet to be engaged. All things had been well arranged waiting for my family and my Brother to commence the program. Due to covid 19, we needed only few people to be present. All the protocols of covid 19 were fully observed. We gathered in the circular manner. After we had seated, we introduced ourselves by mentioning our names and the family through which we have come to support. The two *"Okyeame"* from the man's family and the Lady's family led the program.

After introducing ourselves and performing all the customary rights, the Invited Pentecost Elder was allowed to lead the bride and bridegroom with the wearing of the rings. He first prayed over the rings. The first was to let the many help the lady to wear the ring, after which the lady too helped the man to wear his. It was so exciting moment here, they hugged eat other.

The bride and the bridegroom, now spouses sat down for the Elder and the two family to advice them while they were listening attentively. 


It was time for us to share our love and acceptance of the marriage rights by two families. They share some coke and fanta drinks to cool our system. We also had some banku and okro stew. They later brought us with some fufu and light soup. Food were abundance here, we even left plenty food here.

We took few pictures before and after the marriage ceremony. It was so simple and nice understanding the two families. Since there wasn't any digital camera and photographer, I used my phone to take most of the pictures. Family also gathered to take pictures. 


Few things went on again but was little busy to capture all, they allowed them to dance a little when they played music🎶.
