Yigal Bashan passed away. 
Sadly, like many others, I loved him too.

It started in the 80's as a child I was exposed to in the children's high-end program. Yigal Shigal Bashan was one of the first to discover the potential in the children's audience (long before the sheep Shoshana and Grandpa Tuvia) and for years abandoned the adult audience for him.

With my maturity, of course, I began to "explore" his music and be exposed to his many fancies as well as to his beautiful songs hiding among them.

He never broke a guitar on stage, did not make a mess and a huge show, always did everything pleasantly and half smile, always pleasantly when he manages to keep his warm voice even at his advanced age.

His less recent albums have received the exposure they deserve, and therefore are less commercially successful, but everyone who receives them enjoys every minute of them (I am one of them)

His appearance was always full and there was a great demand, a demand he could not keep up for personal reasons.

Many were talking about his mental condition, his physical condition, there were problems. Not everything went out to the media only small bones but it would be gossip to enter this subject.

This is a sad day in which we had to part with another giant in Israeli culture, a culture that engenders good songs, but almost no great artists such as Yigal Bashan, Arik Einstein, Shmulik Kraus and many good people that she will not give birth and what it looks like will not happen, times have changed and so have we.
