First of all, am no motivational speaker, can’t recall the last time I attended one, so the below might be somewhat of a motivation to you or not, but just something I found that has been working for me, like forever.
Hi guys and welcome to another beautiful day, yesterday was kind of hectic and almost went full rage lol, no joke.
So, two days back, got a new device and was to change with my younger bro, since the new one came with more specification than the previous one, which included the ram and camera quality, although the screen and body size a little bit slimmer than my previous one, also very light, one of the reason I like it.
That been said, decided to do a quick backup, which included, the backing of some delicate information’s from some wallet and exporting some as well, now the procedure was not that long but due to me being somewhat lazy, I couldn’t complete it instantly.
Along the things I needed to backup was my google authenticator that was linked to my Binance account, yea one of the best security mode available out there, if you have no access to your device were the authenticator was installed, logging in is impossible.
Personally, if you were my former self that loved trying out new stuff, be it rooting of mobile devices and installing of different Xposed framework files to tweak my device and better the outcome, then I would advise you to never use google authenticator to save any file.
The reason, you would help up losing those files, but how?
As I said, you can only access any storage when authenticator is turn on via that particular device, and my former self would end up losing the authenticator due to always formatting of my devices then, had to try a lot of tweaks back then and most time, ended up soft-bricking my device, in which case the need to re-format to stock Rom was needed, meaning any info or file I must have stored on the device before then, would end up becoming lost.
Probably the security and delicate files on my device started increasing, the need to root my device and also try out new tweak was no longer needed, cause then I would probably be opening my devices to threat and other stuff online, after all the android is like an or even an open system, where anyone is free to develop.
Back to my backing-up situation.
So I was supposed to deactivate my google authenticator from my former device.
Then, later on, activate it once more on this new device, if there is a way to port my security from google authenticator to another device, do leave a comment or two behind.
The need was already there and I already planned to start it later that day, only to forget once more.
After backing my other files and porting them to my new device, the need to format my previous phone was needed, because you don’t want such information’s flowing around lol.
Moving on, tried to access my Binance account the next day, and it was then I remembered, I forgot to remove the 2fa google authenticator earlier on.
I once misplaced my device some time back and the 2fa was lost as well, the only way I could gain access once again, was to chat with a Binance CC, they were kind of friendly and at first I thought they would probably take days to reply me, if I recall well, I did get access to my account that same day, so not every information you read online should be trusted as a reliable source.
Moving on to present day, I was locked out from my own account due to my negligence of me been unable to remember in time and do the right thing at the right time, am no fan of procrastination and have learnt my lesson not twice or thrice from procrastinating and still for some reason, I always end up meeting procrastination over and over again.

Man, I was rage at myself then, thinking I would have to contact CC once again, went online to see if there were any means I could gain access to my account once again using any information I must have saved before now.
Tried different procedures online, most yielding results but not what I was looking for.
Meanwhile, trying to maintain my calmness while going through different folders on my PC and screenshots I earlier backed-up on my previous device, me and only me was to blame for the situation I now find myself.
While browsing through different forums and information online, decided to finally reach-out to Binance CC and it was then I found out a message that would end up saving me from a lot of stress.
Seems when you linked your Binance account to 2fa, using google authenticator, there were random figures that were given to me then, if for any reason my device was lost or formatted, with those figures I could gain accessed to my 2fa google authenticator once again.
Quickly, I started to browse through different files on my PC, and I finally found something similar, decided to browse online to see what the figures looked like and how many were usually given.
What was shown, matched the information I needed, I knew if this didn’t work, the only option next was to reach out to Binance CC with the hope, my account was opened without any confusion or long processes.
To my surprise, the code worked immediately after inputting it, and my authenticator came alive once more on this new device, I had mistakenly restored my data back successfully.
So if for any reason you find yourself in this situation, stay calm and relax and am sure everything would work out smoothly later on.
Also, try to do research when it happens to you.

* Create a hard copy of such information or use an online secure storage platform to save them
* stay calm and try to access the situation you now find yourself, be it the above or something else.
* You can only solve a problem when calm.
