Honestly, this was an absolutely great experience. All of my life I've enjoyed finding Monarch caterpillars, and while visiting Wisconsin I stumbled upon an entire field of them. It was encouraging and exciting to see, and I spent some time taking a few photos of these wonderful creatures too. Here's a handful of photos I made while in a field of milkweed. Enjoy!

Wonderful!  When I was a little kid, we used to call them "Clown" caterpillars.  When we would find them crawling on the ground (our dad never let us take them off a bush) we would get them to crawl on our fingers..  FUN!
