A Stone of Contention!

This fight at the seaside reminded me of a bunch of politicians!

"A bone of contention" means that somebody is fighting about something and it never gets fixed. These fights remain unresolved and continue perpetually. The seabirds will fight about food until the end of the age.
Let's have a look at this fight!

It started like this! The Kelp gull (white with yellow beak) found a washed up stone.
A gang leader of the juveniles arrived!

And so, the kelp gull called for reinforcements!

Soon the kelp gull was surrounded by the juvenile gang!

But fortunately two other kelp gulls also arrived!

One of the kelp gulls went straight into the fight!

And the other kelp gull wrapped up the argument.

The juveniles beat a hasty retreat and the first guy went back to his stone!

So what was the fight all about?
We are nearing a national voter's day, Wednesday 8 May, tomorrow in fact and for the past months we had to constantly hear about the bluster of opposition politicians attacking each other. There's about 48 different political parties and each one is vying for the stone (power). Verbal attacks are the order of the day and the shouting continues unabated.
Then the voting is done and the final count is released.
Everyone then returns to their normal way of life.
So what was the fight all about? Hahaha
