Warm greetings to @steemitblog and my fellow Steemians in @steemalive Community. I write to share with you how my day was spent joining a 9-man committee in scouting for and inspecting the venue for our Proposed Leadership Training and Maiden Survival Camp.

## <center> About the programme </center>
The leadership training is an Annual events, it happens once in a year mostly at the beginning of the year precisely at the month of January. The essence is to train the newly elected leaders of the youth Ministries in the various local churches across the conference. It is organized by the LEADERSHIP OF ADVENTIST YOUTH MINISTRIES IN THE NORTH CENTRAL NIGERIA CONFERENCE OF SEVENTH DAY ADVENTIST IN NIGERIA.

In the previous years this Programme has always been held at NYANYA In Federal Capital Territory of Nigeria, Abuja. This is the first time it will be moved to an entirely different venue outside the Federal Capital territory to a different state, Nasarawa state

When you come to the conference, we have zones , and when you come to zones, we have Districts and when you come to Districts we have Organized Local Churches and when you come to Organized Local Churches we have Companies and Branches that are yet to be organized into full-,fledged churches. This is the hierarchy of operation. In the North Central Nigeria Conference, which is is made up of 5 states namely Nasarawa, Venue, Niger, Taraba and FCT, we have 4 zones, 21 districtst 51organized churches with their respective companies and branches, under North Central Nigeria Conference.

As matter of fact, the chosen venue for the programme fell under my zone and I happened to be the Assistant Zonal Youth  Coordinator as well as my District Youth Coordinator.
With regards to the forthcoming Programme, as the host zone, it becomes incumbent upon us to get a suitable venue for the programme with the supervision and approval of the Conference Youth Director and his Excos.

For this reason the Conference director scheduled to come down from the Federal Capital Territory to meet with us to go and scout out a venue.
Talking about the **Survival Camp**, is a unique programme and is termed maiden because it is the first if it's kind since the creation of the North Central Nigeria Conference in the 2012. So it's gonna be an epoch-making Programme indeed.
It involves hiking, Combing, Orienteering, mountaineering, knot tying of about 16 different types, Track and Trail, Treasure Hunts, Games such as 
Egg race, Sack race, and football etc.
Other things we checked while inspecting the venue include source of water, the security network of the area, power supply, the topography for exercises like hiking  and the road map/network. After checking all these basis necessity the Director said the  place good to go. We left the place when it was 3:30pm and arrived 6:00pm 


When I returned, I had my shower and dinner and  watched the match between Nigeria and Sudan when ended in 3-1 in favour of Nigeria.

### <center > Conclusion </center>
It was indeed an adventurous day as I had the opportunity to scout a venue for the forthcoming Programme. I was so excited after the day's activities as I was able to accomplish a lot for the day. I had my church worship service in the morning, visited the proposed venue for the survival camp in the afternoon and  then in the evening I watched my Country play their second leg in the  1st round of the African Cup Of Nation(AFCON) holding in Cameroon of which they are in group B alongside Egypt, Sudan and Guinea Bissau.

Talking about the AFCON, the defending champion Algeria never came prepared, the never took other teams serious. They undermined the and surprisingly the knocked them out and sent them home at the First round of 32.
