성경은 영적 존재와 영적 세계에 대해 쓴 책입니다. 
The Bible is a book that speaks of spiritual beings and spiritual world.

성경에 의하면, 우리가 사는 세계는 사람들의 영혼을 사이에 두고 하나님과 천사 그리고 사탄과 귀신들과 치열한 영적 전쟁을 벌이고 있다고 말하고 있죠. 
According to the Bible, God and his angels fight against Satan and his demons over people's soul in this world we live in; that is the spiritual war.

그러므로 여러분은 성경이 진리이신 하나님의 말씀이라고 믿고 있다면, 성경에서 말하고 있는 사실을 받아들여야 할 것입니다. 
And you should accept that if you believe the Bible is the true word of God. 

그러나 영적인 존재들은 눈에 보이거나 귀에 들리지 않으며 과학적인 실험으로 증명되지 않습니다. 
These spiritual beings are not visible to our eyes; they are not audible to our ears; and they cannot be scientifically proven.

오직 영적인 눈이 떠졌다고 불리는 영적 분별력으로 알 수 있죠. 
Only people who has the 'spiritual eyes' can distinguish them.

영적 분별력은 하나님이 주시는 은사로서, 그 믿음을 인정받은 하나님의 사람들에게만 주어집니다. 
The gift of discernment is a gift from God; it is only given to people with faith accepted by him.

그래서 모든 목회자들은 설교단상에서 이러한 영적 전쟁에 대해서 가르치고 선포하고 있으며, 기도원 원장을 비롯해서 기도를 좀 한다는 사람들은 저마다 영적 전쟁에 대해 말하고 있어요. 
So many pastors preach and teach people about these spiritual warfares; and people who have some knowledge (people of faith, you might call them) also talk about these battles.

그러나 이 말을 듣는 대다수의 크리스천들은 영적 존재에 대한 지식과 경험이 일천하므로, 이들의 말이 사실인지 아닌지 분별하지 못합니다.
But people who listen to them don't have much knowledge or experience, so they cannot distinguish the truth from lies.

그래서 영적 세계를 둘러싼 거짓과 허구가 난무하죠. 
So there are tons of lies and fabrication regarding the issue.

듣는 이들은 이들이 진실을 말하고 있는지, 아니면 단지 그들의 의견에 불과한지 분별하지 못한다면 무슨 소용이 있겠습니까? 
What is the use if the listeners can't tell if those people are lying or telling them the truth?

그러므로 이들의 말이 사실인지 분별하려면 이성적이고 합리적인 잣대가 아니라 영적 분별의 은사를 받아야 알 수 있습니다. 
That is why you need the gift of discernment, not the logical reasoning, when it comes to distinguishing their claims.

그래서 거의 모든 크리스천들이 분별하지 못하고 있다고 보면 틀림없어요. 
You could say almost none of the Christians are able to tell these people apart.

그러나 여러분은 저의 주장조차 분별할 수 없으므로 혼란스럽기 짝이 없을 겁니다. 
I am sure you are already baffled, since you can't tell whether what I am saying is true or not.

그래서 오늘은 영적 전쟁을 말하는 이들의 주장이 사실인지 아닌지 분별하는 잣대에 대해 생각해보고 싶습니다.
So I would like to talk about the standard rules to consider when you need to distinguish whether the claims of spiritual wars are true or not. 





1. 직접 귀신을 쫓아내는 영적 전투를 실행하고 있으며, 그 열매가 있는가?
1. Are they participating in spiritual wars by driving demons out? And do they have results out of them? 



수많은 전쟁터에서 직접 적군과 싸워본 베테랑 군인과, PC방에서 전쟁게임을 오래하여 게임마니아인 청소년이 실제 전쟁의 상황을 말한다면, 어떤 사람의 말이 진짜일까요? 
Which one would you believe, when they talk about wars and battles: A teenage boy who spends most of his time in front of his computer, or a veteran who was deployed to other countries and fought in battles.

당연히 진짜 적군과 싸워본 군인의 말일 겁니다. 
Of course, you'd believe the soldier over the teen.

그렇다면 모든 목회자들 비롯해서 영적 전쟁을 말하는 이들이 말이 사실인지 아는 것은 어렵지 않습니다. 
So we can easily recognize when these self-proclaimed spiritual war veterans lie, if we follow the standards I mentioned above.

그들이 진짜 영적 전쟁을 치루면서 수많은 경험과 지식을 토대로 말하고 있는 지 말이지요. 
We need to see if they really have had hands-on experiences with spiritual battles.

지금은 원인을 알 수 없는 죽음으로 고인이 된 모 목사는, 귀신이야기와 대적기도방법 그리고 영적 전쟁에 대한 책을 써서 베스트셀러가 되었습니다. 
This late pastor John (let's just call him John) became a best selling author talking about these spiritual wars; he wrote about demons and how to fight against them through prayers; however, he died of unknown cause.

그가 갖가지 이름으로 지어내면서 현실감 있게 귀신들을 묘사했죠. 
He described tons of different demons in his books.

그러나 그는 귀신을 한 번도 쫓아낸 적이 없습니다. 
But he had never driven any demons out.

그래서 그를 추종하는 사람들이 그 이유를 물어보았습니다. 왜 직접 귀신들을 쫓아내지 않느냐고 말이예요. 
So some people who followed him asked the reason why he does not drive demons out.

그랬더니 그가 한 말이 기가 막힙니다. 
His answer was amazing in many ways.

자신이 직접 귀신을 쫓아내면 공격을 많이 받아서 자신의 사역을 제대로 할 수 없다고 말했다고 합니다. 
He told them that he would be attacked by demons too much, to the degree that he could not keep up his ministry, if he chased any of them away.

말하자면 하찮은 귀신들을 쫓아내다가 귀신들의 정체를 알리는 막중한 사역을 못하게 될 수 있어서, 중요한 일에 집중해야 하므로 귀신을 쫓아내지 않는다고 말이지요. 
Basically, he didn't drive demons out because he could lose focus on his important ministries as he focuses more on chasing away demons.

참 그럴 듯한 말입니다. 
It sounds reasonable.

그렇다면 예수님과 사도들도 그렇게 해야 하지 않았겠습니까? 
But if what he had said is true, shouldn't have Jesus and his apostles done the same?

예수님과 사도들의 사역의 중심은 귀신을 쫓아내고 고질병을 고치면서 영혼을 구원하고 하나님의 나라를 확장해나갔습니다. 
Jesus and the apostles' ministry was mainly to drive demons out, heal sick people, save souls, and expanding the kingdom of God.

예수님이나 사도들이 귀신을 쫓아내다가 공격을 받아 영혼구원 사역을 못하게 되는 일이 있었습니까? 
Have Jesus or the apostles ever been attacked and stopped their ministry because they were driving demons out?

이러한 말은 자신의 말이 거짓이라는 것을 드러내는 증거일 뿐입니다. 
This only proves that John's claims are false.

성령 하나님이 자신 안에 내주하여 동행하면서, 성령의 능력으로 귀신을 쫓아내는 것이 아니겠습니까? 
He should be driving demons out with the Holy Spirit living inside him, right? He should be chasing them out with the power of the Holy Spirit, right?

그러므로 이런 잣대를 작금의 우리네 목회자에게도 적용해보세요. 
So please apply these standards to pastors of churches today.

그들이 귀신을 쫓아내고 고질병을 치유하는 이들이 우리네 교회에 얼마나 있습니까? 
How many people are there in churches today that drive demons out and heal people with their spiritual power?

아마 거의 없을 겁니다. 
Probably none. Or close to zero, if there is any.

그러면서 그들은 강단에서 영적 전쟁에 대해 주저리주저리 떠들어대고 있습니다. 
But they still preach every Sunday about spiritual wars and  salvation.

물론 성경말씀을 자의적으로 해석하고 비틀어서 교인들의 귀에 넣어주는 말입니다. 
These are their own interpretation of the Bible; and these go into people's ears.

그러나 하나님의 나라는 말이 아니라 능력에 있다는 성경말씀을 잣대로 재보면, 그들이 말이 얼마나 실감나게 말했든지 간에 소설을 쓰고 있다고 보면 됩니다. 
But if you remember that the kingdom of God is not in words but in power, you could tell how much people bluff, no matter how realistic and great they sound.

이처럼 설교단상에서 뿐만 아니라, 유투브 동영상이나 인터넷 칼럼에서 영적 전쟁과 귀신이야기를 하는 사람들이 널려있죠. 
There are tons of people who talk about spiritual wars and demons away from the preacher's podium now; they use Youtube and other internet columns and blogs.

그러나 그들이 실제로 귀신을 쫓아내는 사역을 하면서 정신질환과 고질병을 치유하며 영혼을 구원하는 사역을 하지 않는다면, 그들의 말이 상상 속에서 지어낸 소설이라고 보시면 틀림없어요. 
But please know that they are phonies if they can't drive demons out or heal people with incurable illnesses.

제가 왜 그렇게 단정하시는지 아십니까? 
Do you know why and how I could be so certain about this topic?

제가 직접 영적 전쟁을 치르면서 겪은 지식과 경험을 토대로, 그들의 주장이 허구라는 알게 되었으므로 말씀드리는 것입니다.
I have experienced all these myself, and based on those experiences, I realized what those people said weren't true. 





2. 귀신을 쫓아낸다고 말하는 이들의 주장을 다 믿지 말라.
2. Don't believe in everything told by people who claim to drive out demons. 



드물기는 하지만, 세간에는 귀신을 쫓아낸다는 사람들도 더러 있습니다. 
Although rare, there are secular people who claim to drive demons out.

그들은 인터넷으로 글을 올리거나, 캠코더로 축사현장을 찍어서 유투브 동영상을 올리며 자신들이 귀신을 쫓아낸다고 주장하고 있죠. 
They write posts or columns online; they record invocation and exorcism and upload those videos online, proving their spiritual power.

그들이 축사 기도하면 귀신들린 자들이 눈을 까뒤집고 괴성을 지르며 사지를 마구 뻗대면서 사람들을 놀라게 하고 있어요. 
When they pray for the exorcism ceremony, the possessed people toss and turn, scream, and move in strange ways; these kinds of activities scare and attract people.

개중에는 말을 하는 귀신이 “나가겠다. 잘못했다” 등의 말을 하기도 합니다. 
Sometimes, these demons speak through the possessed, saying they will leave.

그들이 축출기도를 마치면 이런 현상이 잠잠해집니다. 
When the exorcists are done with their prayers and ceremonies, these phenomena stop.

그러면 축사자들은 귀신이 나갔다고 선포를 하고 동영상으로 홍보하는 것이죠. 
They say the demons have left the person; and these are all recorded and uploaded to advertise themselves online.

그러나 그들이 귀신에 대해서 얼마나 알까요? 아마 겉으로 드러나는 귀신들만 알 겁니다. 
But how much do they know about demons? I would say they only know the demons that like to be showy.

성령께서 제게 영적 전쟁에 대해 훈련시킬 때, 미혹의 영은 고급영으로 몸에 들어와서 하급영인 귀신들을 불러들여 배나 가슴에 집을 지으며, 하급 귀신들은 나갈 때는 증세가 나타나지만 미혹의 영은 들어올 때나 나갈 때에도 정체를 드러내지 않는다고 말씀하셨습니다. 
When the Holy Spirit was training me for the spiritual war, he has told me that the spirits of falsehood are the high rank demons that enter human bodies, bring in demons of the lower ranks, nest in people's stomachs and hearts; he also told me that the low rank demons are easy to spot, as they make big signs when they leave, but spirits of falsehood don't; they enter quietly and leave quietly.

그래서 저는 어떤 기이한 현상이 나타나거나 귀신들이 어떤 말을 해도 믿지 않습니다. 
So I don't buy into anything demons say or any strange things happen, no matter what they may be.

다만 귀신이 쫓겨나갔다는 것을 증명하는 것으로, 성령이 내주한 증거나 변화, 능력이나 열매가 있어야 인정하고 있죠. 
I only accept that the demons have left when I see the changes or proofs that the Holy Spirit is with the person.

솔직히 말해서, 귀신을 쫓아낸다고 하는 이들의 말이나 동영상으로 알 수 없는 게 수도 없이 많습니다. 
Honestly, it is really hard to tell these exorcists apart just by looking at the videos.

예전에 귀신론으로 대형교회가 된 모 원로목사는 귀신의 말을 곧이곧대로 믿었으며, 모든 질병이 죄다 귀신들의 공격이라고 주장했습니다. 
A senior pastor who became famous by talking about the demons in the past believed in all the lies the demons have told him; he claimed that all the diseases are caused by demons.

그래서 그 교회 목회자들은 감기에 걸려도 이를 감추고 쉬쉬해야 했다고 합니다. 
So the people at his church had to hide any symptoms of illness in front of him, even if it were a little cough.

귀신이 나갔다고 주장한 사람들이 집에 돌아오면 예전의 귀신의 증세가 나타나는 일이 대부분이죠. 
And it is likely to hear that demons have come back after they come back from those exorcism ceremonies.

그러나 그들이 홍보하는 동영상에서는 절대로 이런 말을 하지 않아요. 
But they never mention that in their advertisement videos.

그러므로 그들이 하는 말이나 동영상이 아니라, 그들에게서 축출기도를 받았던 사람들을 찾아가서 지금의 상태를 확인해보세요. 
So please take a serious look at people who went through such process and see how they are doing now.

제가 충주에 영성학교를 시작하고 나서 귀신들에게 고통을 받는 수백 명의 사람들이 찾아왔었습니다. 
Hundreds of people came to CSA after I started the ministry.

그들이 제게 처음 찾아온 것은 아니예요. 
It was not their first time visiting someone like me.

이미 세간에 유명하거나 인터넷에 뜨고 있는 기도원이나 목회자에게 찾아가서 축사기도를 받았다고 합니다. 
They already have talked to a lot of famous pastors and church leaders that claim to drive demons out.

그러나 집에 돌아오면 귀신들이 여전히 드러났다고 주장했습니다. 
But they have felt the demons coming back to them when they got home.

그러므로 귀신을 쫓아낸다고 주장하는 목회자들이나 기도원 원장들의 말을 다 믿지 마세요. 
So please don't buy into everything these people claim to be.

그들에게서 축사기도를 받고 성령이 내주하여 성령의 사람이 되었는지 확인해보시기 바랍니다. 
And see if the people's lives have changed after they went through those ceremonies; see if they have become people with the Holy Spirit residing within them.

아래의 성경말씀처럼, 귀신을 쫓아내었다면 하나님의 나라가 임하는 증거가 있어야 하기 때문이지요.
Just like the Bible verse below, there should be signs of the kingdom of God coming upon you if you really drove those demons out. 





그러나 내가 하나님의 성령을 힘입어 귀신을 쫓아내는 것이면 하나님의 나라가 이미 너희에게 임하였느니라(마12:28)
But if it is by the Spirit of God that I drive out demons, then the kingdom of God has come upon you. (Matthew 12: 28)
